My husband has had surgery in Beckley 6 times and each time we stay here because the staff are amazing, clean, quiet, location, and they always make sure I'm safe. The rooms are big enough for comfort, and the best thing to me is the location because it is so close to everything, especially the hospital. I call the day before or of and they always accommodate me without hesitation. When I walk in, they ask about him and always ask if I need anything, you cannot find a better place for the comfort, safety, and family atmosphere. I will never stay anywhere else when we are done this way.

Please stay away from this motel. Pictures on the website are very deceiving. I ended up here after the motel I originally booked had double booked and had no rooms available. 11:30 at night you can't be too picky about finding a motel that has a vacancy, so, we took the room that was available. The minute we opened the door there was a terrible smell. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting and we refused to shower there. We took our bags out to our car as we didn't feel comfortable setting them down on the bed, the floor or the chair. The chair had some type of red substance on it as did the curtain. The one bed had small hairs all over it, I don't even want to think where they may have come from. The second bed appeared to be clean. We slept in our street clothes on top of the covers and used the bath towels to cover with as we weren't taking a chance of climbing under the covers. Upon checking out we saw a used condom in the parking lot. I hate to give bad reviews, but, this was a terrible experience.

This hotel is in desperate need of repair. The door to room kept sticking to where I couldnāt open it. I had to get the cards reloaded to unlock three times. Only one light worked, and the carpet was filthy. You get what you pay for. Spend the extra $20 and get a hotel that clean and updated.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! I needed a last minute room and this was the only vacancy. The room smelled of mold, black mold was found in the bathroom ceiling, the carpets had mold on them, and Iām unsure just how sanitary these beds are. Canāt cancel bc I booked through Priceline. Not all the lights work, the USB connections at the bed donāt work, and the telephone is broken. My door doesnāt secure all the way (glad I have my gun) and the back doors are not secured despite swipe entry feature. The West Virginia Health Department needs to shut this down.

TRAVELER BEWARE ā HOTEL IS UNSAFE. Beckley West Virginia- Clarion This was a horrible experience. I am a diamond member of Choice hotels. I love tj he brand and this is my first bad experience. We reserved 2 rooms. First we tried to get into our rooms and one was either occupied or dirty. I walked back down the two floors because both companions are disabled and came back with new keys. These keys did not work and were unable to get into the room. Went back dow a third time and the key did still not work. The 4th trip the manager came with us and found that the locks were broken and got us another room. Through the night they re-rented one of the rooms we were occupy and a stranger came in about 3am. The next morning I found that the room I was staying in as a single female; the door didnāt lock! None of the outside doors were locked and the stairwell and outside were littered with ashes and butts. SO DANGEROUS! We were told by the front desk that they have had problems for over a year with the locks! They still havenāt been fixed. This is so dangerous for travelers! I felt very unsafe and believe this to be VERY NEGLIGENT and liable on the hotels part. I was understandably upset. Especially when they were so flippant. The hotel manager stated that she had comped the rooms, and gave a receipt stating such. When I looked at my account they had stuck a retaliatory smoking charge to the rooms. No one in our party smokes and they were not able to send over photos. We ended up having to press charges on the hotel for fraud in our CC card. When I spoke to the manager Emily, about the charges she was extremely rude and refused to email pictures. Just horrible customer service and no responsibility taken. Thank you for your time.
