This hotel provided great service. I was there on a work trip, and I specifically want to thank Jarena at the front desk for all of her help. She went above and beyond - great customer service! Great location with close options for dining. Will definitely stay here again.

I stay at this hotel frequently due to corporate account so have no choice. Avoid it if you can. Many issues over time, however they have been handled by front desk. Two most recent visits in the last month were different. The front desk/manager on duty clearly doesnāt really care. Two weeks ago and again this time the heater wonāt even shut off at 68 degreesā¦.cool air blows out. Itās not a comfortable night. The remote for the TV didnāt respond. I called front desk and got Cassandra (manager). I asked for a new remote control to be brought up. A few minutes later Shawn (maintenance) showed up without remote and proceeded to tell me how to use a remote. I travel for work and own a TV with a remote, Iām fully aware and able to operate several types of TV remote controls. I donāt need to be spoken to in a condescending tone on how to push the buttons. I am aware when one doesnāt work and this one didnāt. I called Cassandra back at the front desk and she was no help at all, in fact, she was clearly bothered by me even calling. I had to find the cord and plug the phone in before even being able to use it. Late arrival and early morning leaves no time to waste, yet they wasted mine !

The hotel itself is decent enough. The view of the lake is beautiful. The room we had was fine. No visible issues with cleanliness. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom is small but functional. Just a few tweaks and would be much better. The heating/cooling unit is awfully loud to the point where you could not hear anything else or sleep. That needs to be fixed ASAP. While the hotel is dog friendly, there are a lot of people who do not own pets. To that end, the restaurant is small and seating is tight. Consider a different seating arrangement or separate area for pet owners who want their pets in a restaurant vs those of us who donāt want to eat with the animals at or under the table. Customer service is my biggest issue with this location. Upon checking in there were two workers responsible for the front desk. They both seemed very disinterested in answering basic questions. They were more concerned with sitting by the fire place and engaging in personal conversations. As soon as they rudely answered a question about parking they both rushed to the fireplace and sat down. That was odd. I encountered one of the same workers on Thanksgiving. I asked him if he knew if anything was open or delivered in the area. He told me to use an uber app in the same short and dismissive way as if he did not want to be bothered. Again as he was engaged in a social conversation with his peer. Perhaps retraining is in order. Otherwise good location, shopping and food options nearby. Breakfast at hotel restaurant was good. Would stay again.

First time visitors to Madison, I thought the location would be ideal. Itās close to the lakes and the Capitol. Road construction and closures made it difficult to navigate. The parking garage is its own personal hell! The club next to the hotel owns the top 2 1/2 levels of parking as you enter the basement garage space as there is a sign halfway down that says where āhotel parking startsā. The spaces are tight for anything larger than a compact size car. Searching for a spot leads you all the way down where you promptly find a dead end and then have to do pivot Olympics to get turned around. My anxiety level increased each time I entered this garage! There were cars taking up more than one space and the front desk told me that they do not limit the amount of cars per room so there could be 3-4 cars in the small garage for 1 hotel room. Trying to squeeze my SUV into one of these spots, I had to climb over the center console and exit from the passenger side because there was no room to open my drivers side door. My boyfriend had to do the same and scratched the side of my car against one of the concrete pillars on the second night of our long weekend stay. The room itself was clean and comfortable but there are plenty of those in the area. I wouldnāt do this again simply because of the parking garage.
