It is a comfortable room with a small kitchenette and fireplace. Be sure to bring your own wood and starter. We were there for only one night, and it was very quiet. The only thing we didn't like was the bed was hard and not comfortable for either of us. It was located within walking distance of town.

Had been planning to go but decided not to return since management was so rude and confrontational over the phone. Did not give a care about us as customers. THEY made the mistakes and offered nothing but excuses, hardly an apology, and no compensation or interest in cultivating good relations. Pretty much told us to find someplace else. There are lots of other nice places in Idyllwild. Don't be fooled by the peace sign.

We drove to Idyllwild to escape the scorching 120-degree heat of Palm Desert, only to be met with a nightmare at SEQUOIA. The place was absolutely filthy, with the cleaning crew still hard at work. They even admitted that the previous guests, along with their dogs, had left the cabin in a dreadful state. The main issue was its location in the center of a dustbowl, with no grass or forest floorâjust dust and dirt everywhere. As the cleaners attempted to tackle the grime, I knew staying the night would inevitably lead to a sinus infection. The experience was incredibly disappointing, forcing us to turn around and head back down the mountain, feeling utterly let down. It was infuriating to be charged $334 for a place that wasnât worth more than $55 at most. I hated every moment and regret setting foot in that place.

Horrible. The owner is unhelpful and talks over you. We checked if a late check in was ok. They said it was and everything was ready. We got there at 11 pm and the door code didn't work. The after hours answering service had no way to get in so we had to book a motel down the mountain after a 10 hour drive. The next morning the owner said it was the fault of the website we had booked it on even though I had called to check that everything would work when we got there. I asked for a refund for the night we didn't even get to get in and he said no and that it was my fault for getting there so late. When we finally did get inside the next day the power was turned off and it was over 90 degrees inside a small dark and smelly cabin right next to the main road. I would recommend going anywhere else. Even the motel down the mountain was so much better. Do not risk this place. If everywhere else is booked I would never try to stay here again.

I had such high hopes of this quaint cottage to be a lovely weekend with my husband. Between the thread bare sheets and pillowcases, the horribly uncomfortable bed, to the overwhelming propane gas smell from the kitchen stove, the mold in the shower to just an overall dark room, it was anything but enjoyable. Our friends stayed in another cabin and had a similar experience.
