Worst customer service ever. Avoid like the plague. First, the key cards did not work. Every time we left the room we had to have the key cards rekeyed. Second, they billed the wrong card, even after multiple trips to the front desk to make sure they had the right card. Once the charge processed it showed up on the wrong card. I called to correct the error and was told i'd have to drive from NC to VT to present the card in person to correct. When I asked for a manager I was told they were unavailable. Best bet, avoid this property.

The hotel room was very comfortable and the location was convenient to to places we wanted to visit. They have a free breakfast with some hot food choices which was very good. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We were happy to spend the night there, highly recommended.

Due to the flooding from Hurricane Helene, we needed to cut our trip short to return home to North Carolina. Because of this unforeseen circumstance, we called to cancel, the morning we were to drive to Brattleboro and check-in. The manager would not waive their cancellation policy, so we had to pay for the night and an additional fee for canceling past their deadline. Moreover, while I was on the phone with the front desk, I was told the manager was too busy with guests to speak to me because they were full, which, you know, means they were able to re-rent that room without a problem during leaf season, in Vermont. I understand if it was a small business and the room wasn't re-rented, but that certainly was not the case. They followed their policy, which, in this particular case, is why I'm leaving a negative review. Some compassion and grace would have been much appreciated during this difficult time.

An older Hampton Inn, but room was clean and quiet. The afternoon person at the desk didn't know a lot about the area and since this was our first time here, some knowledge would have been helpful. Breakfast area was great and the food hot and fresh in the morning with lots of coffee available.

The place wasn't that nice. I stay almost exclusively with Hilton, although that may change after this experience. They charged my Hilton Honors credit card $300 for "incidentals" instead of authorizing it. This was after I specifically asked the very young women working there if they were sure they were not charging my card and only authorizing it, and I was assured they were only authorizing it. The manager (Jolie?) called me a week ago to tell me they have a new machine and made the mistake, and ran the charge vs. authorization and she would process the refund. The refund didn't go through. I had to give her my card information over the phone to run a credit, but still don't have my refund. A week later they still have my $300 and now the manager won't take my call. I have filed a complaint with Hilton Honors and my credit card company.
