When staying near Dulles International Airport, The Westin Washington Dulles Airport is the ideal choice. There are many other hotels nearby, including the Marriott located inside or near the airport. However, driving a few more minutes outside Dulles will likely provide a better room, better service, and a more comfortable stay. We had a reservation for a hotel that was a few minutes away from Dulles, but after experiencing one night before our flight, we decided to book this one as we arrived later in the evening. We were able to arrive 10 minutes from Dulles and get a better night's sleep with no issues. The room is always spacious, and the bathroom is well-stocked with a variety of products. We did not have any issue and appreciated having breakfast in the restaurant, where every single attendant was welcoming and the food was decent. It's also a great place to grab drinks or appetizers in the evening when you're there. Overall, it is a great hotel that I highly recommend and will stay in again in the future.

Friendly front desk staff, the first floor is grand but the rest of the hotel is drab and dreary. The room was good, equipped with a coffee machine though no microwave or mini fridge. We could not set the thermostat to a comfortable temperature, the room was always warm, especially at night. For a last minute reservation, the experience was okay.

When I arrived, as instructed I went to door 6, 2G last night (after two flights, Osaka, Japan to San Francisco to Washington Dulles) at 9:14 pm but I had to wait jntil 9:47 pm to get the shuttle without a coat. Shuttle was supposed to be there at 9:15 pm but they must have come early. Finally got to the hotel at around 10:05 pm. Not good. Then, because I was not convinced that the shuttle would leave on time at 7am (that would be a tight connection), I went downstairs at 6:20 am for the 6:30 am flight. The shuttle departed at 6:35 am but someone forgot their mobile phone at a nearby apartment (?) so the driver waited until 6:40 am while she went to look for it, without even asking the ten people in the van if anyone had a tight connection. Finally, the person came back and said she couldn’t find it and she told the driver to go since their flight was not for another two hours. I appreciated his empathy for her but the “show must go on.” If this had happened to me on the 7am shuttle, I would have potentially missed my flight to Munich, Germany and then to Helsinki, Finland. Fortunately this was not a work situation for me, but can you imagine. I am not sure that I can endorse this hotel for business travel, but the kitchen served relatively good food. GM never responded to my concerns.

I needed to stay here one night on a weeknight for work in the area… I got here pretty late to check-in, it was around 10PM. The staff was friendly and efficient at getting me checked in. Parking is easy, as they have a multi-story garage in the back which connects directly to the hotel. The property itself is pretty decent with a somewhat grand lobby and lots of convention space. There’s an onsite café, bar, and restaurant, but it seems that they might have been doing something with the restaurant part as the breakfast the next morning was served in a conference room around the corner from it. The café was nice, I used it for coffee. The room was comfortable. The bed was definitely comfortable and cozy with a thick comforter on it. The TV was great, it offered Pluto TV! Bathroom was fully operational and offered decent amenities too. I’ve stayed in many Marriott properties in this area and this has been the best so far.

Matt Moore at the front desk gave me top tier service. He is polite, helpful and kind. I would like to thank him for making my visit comfortable. Keep that great attitude Matt and you will go far! Also, my housekeeper Mixi did a phenomenal job. My room was clean and comfortable.
