Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Harrisonburg

We made a reservation and it was good. Clean. Friendly. Can't really say anything was wrong. We were there less than 10 hours due to business but we will stop here again next trip. Easy access to get back on Highway and very close to where we needed to be.

As a 2-star listed hotel, I had expectations for our 1-night stay but was pleasantly surprised. The staff was very accommodating for the 2 requests that I made. Our check-in was enhanced by a very pleasant young lady who enjoys what she does. Our room was as expected...clean and did not smell of cigarette smoke (which has been an issue for our reservations lately). The bathroom was very clean. Quick and easy access to I-81 was a plus. Beds were very comfortable. Pillows were plentiful. I did wake up to very heavy-footed-guest-walking in the room above around 5am. That wasn't the fault of the hotel. Breakfast options were plentiful. The eggs and sausage offered could've been warmer and a bit more appetizing. The elevator was in working during our stay. I did not see evidence of uncleanliness. If someone is looking for things to be wrong or unclean, I'm sure they'd be successful. If you choose a 2-star hotel, be ready for 2-star accommodations. In my opinion, this Microtel could easily have been a 2.5-star.

This was my free night being Wyndham member and I was charged 50.00 as a deposit. I was told it would be credited back to my account as soon as I leave. I stay 1/3/25 and as of now 1/14/25 no credit on my account. I feel you should give me interest on the money you kept for no reason.

Lovely little room, very cozy. It has everything you need. Room was clean and the young lady at the desk "Donna" was absolutely delightful. Breakfast was just fine with a variety of options. The only thing I would recommend for the owners is to either replace the windows in the rooms or caulk. We could feel a slight stream of cold air coming in from outside. I would definitely recommend Microtel to anyone!!

It was not very clean and smelled like pets. The halls were thin as well. It was okay to sleep for the night. I did not try breakfast or other amenities but was not impressed with the hotel overall. Based on this I would not stay again at this location.
