Great hotel in a nice location, about 10-15 minute walk from the Ballston Metro stop. Breakfast included which is a big plus, friendly staff. Walking distance to dozens of restaurants in the Ballston area, there is a park across the street for kids. Highly recommend the Residence Inn Ballston for stay in Arlington.

Hotel was in a very safe area. It had very secure self parking under the hotel ($35 a night but booking direct saved a bit) Don’t bring a large truck as all DC parking is kinda tight. Very clean hotel in all areas. Staff was helpful in every way. Location was about a 10 minute drive to Arlington National Cemetery. Lots of food options right by the hotel and within walking distance. Dominos and Jimmy John’s and Super Pollo were right next door. Breakfast was fine (real eggs but other than that, standard food). Would stay again and would recommend this hotel.

This is probably the fourth time our family has stayed at a Residence Inn for the Thanksgiving holiday, and we think this is now a thing. We are timeshare owners, and have stayed at other Residence Inn's (particularly the one in Gaithersburg) and have always appreciated the overall space, layout and furnishings of these hotel rooms. Up uhtil we stayed at Residence Inn Arlington Ballston, we could count on one hand how many hotels really exemplified a living residence like an apartment. Residence Inn Arlington Ballston has, hands down, the closest we have ever gotten to a timeshare layout of a Unit. The 2 Bedroom room we had on the 2nd floor, had the largest Master bedroom we've seen (to date), and the beds which were Queens, to us, seemed even oversized. The unit came with a full kitchen, which again, had the largest amount of counter and storage space, and the living room had a pull out sofa bed. The hotel's staff were always around, ready to help; the check in was so easy and they assisted with providing extra kitchen supplies (dish washing liquid, kitchen towels, toilet paper (upon request), as well as getting quarters to use the excellent laundry machines). The hotel is located just a block or two away from Ballston Mall as well as a short block away from groceries (Harris Teeter) although we shopped at Giant a few more blocks away. Parking ($29/day) can be tricky because the hotel has a private garage which requires a hotel card to open the gate, but it also provides extra security knowing your car is in a protected garage. We also liked the close proximity to the laundry, gymn and the heated pool (which are all on the 2nd floor). The free hot breakfast has many options which we really enjoyed. If we were being nitpicky, I would say that I understand that not every Residence Inn has the manager's special, but it would have been nice (particularly on thanksgiving) to have that. We stayed at the Residence Inn Arlington Capitol View a few years ago, and that was such a blast to have an awesome Thanksgiving meal with all the fixins and they had a bingo game night! Another thing is that while the rooms are HUGE the supplies that come with it are a little sparse and a little basic. There is SO much cabinet space, but only the most basic of cookware is there with no pans. We had to buy those since we decided to have Thanksgiving in the unit and not to eat out. Also we went during the "off season" where the pool was open from 5p.m. to 10p.m. Monday to Friday; I know during these high vacancy periods it makes more sense to have limited hours, but would have liked to have it open early on Thanksgiving. These are nitpicky things because overall this hotel is AWESOME; will definitely come back-- as a local, we had never considered having this option and now we can't imagine NOT doing this every year!

Very well located hotel near the new developments and shopping in Ballston. Close to grocery stores but a bit of a walk to get to Metro/Subway. Bus stops close by and easy to grab an Uber from. Rooms getting slightly outdated though, would love to see the rooms refurbished/refreshed with a more modern design. Always able to find a seat at breakfast, and never waited too long for elevators. Would like to see water filters, ice machines, and laundry rooms sprinkled on other floors than just by the gym on the second floor. Great sunset views over the city from the 9th floor or above!

There are so many great things about this hotel. First, the staff is terrific! I commend Peter and Seviye for helping me with a document I needed to Fax. Also, Angel helped me when my Uber app was misbehaving! Their positive attitude and willingness to help were very comforting. The breakfast is very good and the eggs are real, NOT powdered! The Studio King room was very roomy. The elevators are fast moving. The underground parking is very convenient. The entire building is very clean. I will stay here again!
