Fredericksburg Inn & Suites

Mixed experience. The 5 star reviews for this property on TA and other sites were perplexing based on our experience. The hotel comes across as more luxurious than it is. The photography on the website gives the impression of a boutique hotel as opposed to the fact that it’s really an updated motel. It felt expensive for what the offering really is. The bed was comfortable, property pleasant (including pool and jacuzzi) and proximity to Main St all very good. Breakfast was not great and the rooms/linens felt like they could be cleaner. Adequate for sleeping and walking to town but nothing memorable. Tip: to maximize quiet, request an inward facing room on the top floor.

Positives: - Hotel is just a block from the Main Street where shops and restaurants are located. - Front desk was nice to give us extra towels. - Basic breakfast is provided and is in a historical building portion of the hotel. - Front desk was accommodating and allowed us to check in an hour early which we really appreciated. Things to know: - Blinds were broken, were hard to close and would let in some light. - TV did not have easily accessible USB port for watching fire stick, no digital app access to watch shows - Bed sheets were hot and AC unit was either too cold and loud going on and off on auto all night, and if set to normal temperature it would stop after a while. No central air conditioning. - Pillows were too large or too hard and were not comfortable for us. - Towels given for the room are limited. - You have to request to have room cleaned before 10am each day (includes trash and fresh towels only)

Cj was tremendous we came here very late looking for a room and he did his best to take care of us. CJ was right on top of it and made sure we had a solid room and a great experience. I would recommend anyone to stay here. I would give CJ a 10 out of 10 the best

I would not stay here again. Checked in Thursday evening, 4/17 with my husband and 19year old daughter. The first thing the guy at the reception desk says to us after we gave him our name was…”Oh you from out of town. Are you here to get drunk.” The first thing we saw once we got to our room was a hair tie left by somebody on the dresser, making us wonder what else was missed by housecleaning. The toilet seat only had one tab attached, the other was broken off and missing. The tub had no drain cover, so beware of dropping anything in the shower. The next morning I went to the front desk to ask what time check out was. The woman working the desk with glasses and a long tattoo on her forearm, barked back at me “What room are you in?” I wasn’t sure of our room number and told her that and she scowled at me. I repeated my question again and asked what time was check out. She finally told me -noon. I was taken aback at her very UNwelcoming, UNfriendly manner. A few hours later. When we checked out, her manner was the same. We are looking forward to visiting Fredricksburg again but will be seeking out a place that offers more of a welcoming, family friendly type of hospitality next time.

Location was excellent! We were able to walk to Main Street shopping. The breakfast was fresh and very good -- eggs, bacon or sausage, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, muffins, make your own waffles, etc. The staff was so helpful and friendly. The outdoor area was landscaped beautifully. The 2 pools were beautiful (although we didn't have time to go swimming). The best part was the fireplaces located around the grounds! At the end of each night, the 3 of us sat by the fireplace to have 1 last glass of wine. It was so relaxing. Although the rooms are not brand new, the room was clean and the beds were comfortable! I will DEFINITELY go back!
