This location is in need of a complete makeover...STAT!! Where do I start...The elevator opens when not completely at the floor. Our first room had a sink drain that had the stopper completely closed and wouldn't open. Hard to believe the previous guests and housekeeping didn't bring that to someone's attention. Our second room after the drain fiasco was identical to the first room, but the sink worked. The shower head on the other hand was lose within the wall. The room carpet was absolutely filthy. The rest of the room needed a good scrubbing. The mattress was just awful. To cap things off the breakfast was terrible as well. Some plain bagels (no tongs, everyone was touching them) instant oatmeal and a couple of prepackaged muffins. The orange juice was out so it was basically flavored water.

Place is a dump and is on pare with a super 8. Paint was peeling off the wall in my bathroom and there bleach stains all over the carpet. Honestly surprised that Marriott has not demanded a remodel. I stay in Marriott hotels at least once a week and this is by far one of the worst.

I have been a Marriott member for many years and thought I knew what I am going to get when I stay at a Marriott because of the brand. Because of the brand name I have not previously checked reviews but unfortunately this stay has changed that. I booked 4 rooms during this stay as I was sponsoring a school trip along with another staff member. I did not realize their were issues with any of our rooms until late in the evening when the students told me about their rooms. The students told me about the following issues in room 103: 1)Weird liquid substance on the counter. 2) Dirty Shower 3) Weird blob on bathroom floor 4) things on the bed (hairs, random trash specc, possibly food) 5) things in the toilet and on the seat prior to using it. Room 125: Has a bad smell that doesn't go away, and one bed had small stains and hair on it. I can't remember my room number but it was on the 3rd floor and did not notice any issues until I woke up and realized I had slept on blood stain near my head. The hallway carpet had bleach or something spilled all over it. Breakfast was lacking compared to every other Fairfield I have stayed at. One guest told the front desk the hot water for tea was brown and asked for some other water. If I had know all of the issues when we first checked in I would have asked to have our reservations canceled and gone to another hotel, but since I didn't realize any of this until late in the evening I didn't think I could do anything. I did let the front desk manager know about the issues and ask to have a our second night canceled without a penalty which they allowed us to do.

Staff was friendly and helpful. The pool area was clean. Other than that, this property is in real need of a refresh and I wouldn't recommend it. We checked in and went to our room. The carpet had many stains and was just plain dirty, and there was a huge wet spot that must have been from a leak of some sort. We asked for a different room and were accommodated. The next room was better, but the carpet was still in rough shape with stains and dirt, which makes the whole room feel dirty. The carpets throughout the hotel need cleaned desperately (or better yet, replaced). The ice machine on our floor didn't work. The parking area is too small for the size of the hotel. If you get there late at night you won't find a spot next to the hotel. You'll have to park at the Hampton Inn that is nearby. The parking spaces themselves are also very small. You just hope that the cars next to you are careful otherwise you'll leave with a ding in your door or worse. Particularly on the weekends, the rooms here are not cheap and I would say they are not worth it. Also not a great location. It's convenient if you are passing through the area as it's just off the interstate. But it's not close to either one of the universities in town. There are definitely better options that are better maintained, have better facilities, and are better located.

I had a late night arrival on Amtrak, which stops at the station nearby, making this hotel a very convenient choice. Fast and friendly check in at the front desk, with a great explanation of breakfast, Wi-Fi, and other amenities. My 2-queen room was quite spacious and featured fridge and microwave and a separate sink, closet, bathroom area. The Fairfield Inn at Provo was the perfect solution for my travels this trip. Using the hotel website allowed me to easily adjust my arrival time and check other details of the reservation.
