Ranch Motel

Cheap joint, you get what you pay for. Internet non existent in the room, the only place to connect is in the lobby. The room thermostat doesn't seem to be connected to anything, had to keep the window open to cool off the room. No ice machine, but they'll give you about a trayful if you ask at the "lobby." Cold water faucet is warm enough to shower in. They're firmly in my NEVER AGAIN category.

The lady who checked us in the Ranch Motel was smiling and helpful. The rate was very affordable and the room, though small as one might expect in an older place, we spotlessly clean. The wifi was strong and there were plenty of plugins. Good American/Mexican restaurant right across the street and a charming children's park just around the corner. We were happy and slept well! Thank you!

The room they checked us in was nothing like the picture I was emailed that showed "2 queen beds" in a queen room. The entire room was not as large as my living room and only had one bed with a bathroom the size of a small closet and no vanity. When I approached the front desk to inform that the room was not as negotiated I was told that for the price I was paying that was the only type room available although there were no other vehicles in the parking lot. In the bathroom I noticed there was an area of debris needing sweeping. Unfortunately I paid prior to seeing the room but we packed up and left and stayed at Days Inn which was far superior and offered a great complimentary breakfast. I would not trust the rating shown by Booking.com There are several nicer hotels in Liberal that do not look like there were built in 1955.

We just needed to spend the night on our homebound trip, and we found several older motels in the area. The Ranch ended up being... a Great value, super clean rooms, wonderful bed, great cozy atmosphere. Older motel with western character.

Not really dirty, but 70 dollars was just too much. They have soap and shampoo dispensers to keep anyone from taking any soap. Cheapos. No problems with WiFi. Didn't get bothered by anyone though. Not as bad as some Hindu caste system motels I've stayed in though. One across the street I stayed in had a real problem with customer respect. Didn't seem to have that problem here.
