I received a call from assistant manager Lisa telling me that my accommodations cannot be met, and I will be moved to another Marriott property. I was given no reason and no compensation. My reservations were made two months in advance, along with other family and friends. Only my room could not be accommodated. When I asked to speak with the manager I was disconnected. I called back to get to get a corporate number and Lisa hung up on me. This is not the southern hospitality I expect from Texas. Sidenote, the Marriott app indicated that rooms were still available for my stay.

We spent a night here after a long day of driving in our car. Check in was quick and we were given a nice room on the 4th floor. The room was nicely decorated and other than a few loose threads where the carpet in the room met the threshold in the entry area the room was flawless. It had all the amenities one would want, a comfy big king size bed, a desk for my laptop, a nice big flat screen TV as well as the coffee maker and necessities for a nice hot mug to drink. The bathroom was large enough for both my wife and I to easily move around in and the big walk-in shower was a great spot to relax under a stream of warm water at the end of the day. There were plenty of towels, the only thing missing was tissues; perhaps the maid service just forgot to reload the box. Oh well, my wife always brings some for herself. The hotel is easy to find as long as you don't have an older GPS in the car like we do. It took us to the address on 50th Street but on the other side of the highway and it was only an empty dirt lot! My wife used her iPhone to guide us correctly so watch out for that. We didn't have much interaction with the hotel staff other than at check in but when we returned from dinner the ladies behind the counter greeted us and welcomed us back. We would stay here again based on this visit.

I stay at many Fairfields and Marriotts, but this is not one I am going back to. It is a party hotel, both inside the lobby and outside in the parking lot. When we arrived at 8 PM, there was a large drinking party in the conference room being loud, and outside the exits, people were tailgating from trucks. I was there with my child, and it did not feel safe. The front desk attendant was also confrontational and hostile for no reason. Maybe it is stressful to work at this place? The rooms were acceptable but had some wear and tear, not from bad housekeeping but from rough guests. I do not stay at places like this, and I am not coming back.

Visiting Lubbock for business and this property meets my needs very well for the trip. Free parking, easy to get in and out of, and there’s a shopping center right next door for picking up essentials. The staff is friendly and the hotel is kept very clean. The hotel itself is very quiet but rooms on the Milwaukee Ave end of the property may experience some street noise from motorcycles and other loud vehicles. It didn’t keep me awake (and I was in the very end room) but if it’s likely to disturb you try asking for a room further from the street. The only minor complaint I have is about the breakfast - I was really looking forward to the vat of Fairfield gloopy oatmeal with the raisins to sprinkle on top, but instead they had single-serve Quaker cups. Nevertheless, I was able to find something to eat :) This was a great, convenient place to stay in Lubbock and will be my go-to for future trips!

This was absolutely terrible. Drove 13 hours today and expected a nice room. I picked this location due to all the good reviews. I guess I was just an unlucky person. I should have known this wasn't going to be good once I observed all the stains in the carpet, lobby, and elevator. The toilet in my first room didn't work. So, I had to pack up and relocate to a different room. The bathroom in my new room hadn't been cleaned very well. Some hair in the shower and the toilet bowl had waste matter on it. I was so tired that I decided I could live with this. Showered and jumped into bed, horrible!! Sheets contained flaky particles and a yellow stain about 3 inches long. Called Lisa, on duty manager, and she came up right away with the house cleaning manager. I could tell they were genuinely mortified. They offered to put me in another room, but after 2 rooms, I decided to check out and move to a different hotel. Lisa reversed my charges and gave me a close by recommendation, The Aloft. Very happy, clean!!!!!
