Best Western Plus Lampasas Inn & Suites

Our room was spacious, clean and quiet as I requested. Everything worked, Scott that checked me in was courteous and quick and acknowledged my member status. The frig kept everything nice and cool. This location was close to restaurants. There was a McD's, Whataburger, and other restaurants and gas stations too. It's located at an intersection.

All in all not a bad hotel for the price. It was very clean. s others have said, the pillows are very small. We stayed on Saturday night and the Sunday breakfast was not wonderful. Scrambled eggs and biscuits were dried out and the sausage patty, while flavorful, was also very dried out. Fortunately there were fresh muffins! We would stay there again if we were in the area, but seek breakfast elsewhere.

We visited for a wedding and found Lampasas to be a lovely, little town. Great Italian and German restaurants in town and a fun day antiquing. Not a bunch to do, but that was the appeal for us. A great place to celebrate and the newlyweds and come together with family and friends.

We arrived at 2:20p.m. and went to the counter and 2 people at the counter said that we could not check in until 3:00 or there would be and extra charge for early check in. Really?? we sat for 20 minutes and then another couple arrived at 2:40p.m. and they got check in and then we went to the counter, and they told me that they would check us in early. Horrible experience and I told them just that. Had we not walked to the counter they would have waiting until 3:00p.m. to check us in. We were the only ones in the lobby and had to sit and wait and because they check in another couple, they got busted. Horrible hospitality and should never have happened and they did not care at all about what they did. I told everyone who stayed at the property who we met up with and they were as shocked as we were. You are in the hospitality business and there certainly were rooms at 2:20p.m. to check us in and rather than check us in they wanted more money. Shocking and very disappointing. First timers as well, so did not sit well and started our entire trip off on a sour note.

Beds are uncomfortable matress is hard and lumpy , i typically like a hard mattress. pillows are the small square pillows used for decor, they were so small they folded half the standard size pillow case inside of itself to make the pillow cases fit.
