Redbud Inn

It is hard to fairly rate this hotel because it is only 1 of 2 hotels available for wind turbine techs in the area. So, out of the 2 hotels in the area, this is the better one. However, it is barely average, yet I don't want to knock it down too much. The hotel room IS clean yet the room itself is very aged and rundown. Definitely needs a pick-me-up. The staff are nice and helpful.

I had stayed at this motel more than ten years ago so I was very leery about staying again even though most reviews were good. When we arrived in Goldthwaite, I asked the manager if we could see rooms prior to booking; he was very eager to show me several rooms. The Redbud Motel has been very nicely remodeled and is exceptionally clean. The rooms are spacious and comfortable.

The only things which stop me giving a 5 star rating is that the room doors need redecorated and the room furniture has a few scrapes. Nothing major just cosmetic. Positively, this is a lovely well appointed hotel in the centre of a charming town. Great location. The bedroom and bathroom were spotlessly clean and has everything I could have wanted. Microwave, fridge, hairdryer, iron, ironing board, coffee maker. The manager was completely charming and went out of his way to ensure that everything was fine. He took the time and trouble to help me plan my sightseeing day and offered very helpful suggestions. Don’t get that type of service everywhere.

Everything was fairly nice and the price was good. But the carpet looked like a Harley had been parked on it ( no big deal don't sleep on the floor) and the bathroom had an uncovered clear window. No curtains at all. Open for viewing. Could at least paint the window. Linens we're clean and had coffee pot. I would stay here again.

I was travelling for vacation and needed a place to sleep for a few days. The room was reasonably large, the sheets and towels were clean, and it was reasonably quiet. The room had a small refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker which made it easy to get up and out the door in the morning. Good value for the price!
