Wow. Easily the worst motel Iâve ever seen in my adult life. I traveled to Brownsville to perform, and this was the inn that the venue booked for all of us. I can only hope that person who booked these rooms had never stayed here, because if they had, it was a straight-up insult. From the outside, it looked like any other budget hotel, but you could tell that it isnât being maintained well. The condensate from the AC units drips on the sidewalk running along the rooms, but the sidewalks arenât cleaned so itâs a nasty, green patch where the water sits. This should have been the first clue for how it would look inside. When we opened the room door, I initially thought it wasnât too bad. They have hard surface floors, so at least there isnât dirty carpet. It didnât smell bad. Thatâs all it had going for it. The chair by the window was filthy, far from its original color, stained, and very worn. There was no way that I would sit on it. I had to use the bathroom after driving for so long, and the first thing that I saw when I went in was a roach on the floor. There was a lot of black mold in the tub. There were just two, small towels that used to be white but were now gray. There was no toilet paper holder. When I finished my business, I looked at the sink outside of the bathroom. The surface was clean, but it was obvious that nobody bothered to clean the corners of the vanity, because there was dirt caked up on the edges. There were some small holes in the walls that hadnât been repaired, and the walls were dirty with lots of stains. It also looked like someone had been touching up spots with new paint, but used different shades and finishes. All in all, the walls looked terrible, The kicker was the bed. The sheets looked like theyâd been washed at least, but there was some kind of eggcrate foam topper that didnât feel nice when I pressed my hand on it. When I pulled the sheets back to look at it, I was kind of horrified. The foam was old and degrading, and it was bleached and stained different colors by who knows what has been in the bed. The mattress was horribly stained, some of the stains matching the bleached spots in the foam. There was no way that I was going to sleep in that bed. When I turned around and looked at the picture on the wall, it took me a few seconds to compute what I was looking at. There was a huge patch of black mold between the picture and the glass. This probably didnât happen overnight, so itâs just been growing there for who knows how long. I just left the room and booked another hotel myself even though it came out of my own pocket. I felt like I was going to get some kind of infection just standing in the room, much less spending the night there. When I got to the venue, the people who got there earlier than me asked which hotel I was staying in, because theirs was the worst one theyâd ever seen. Of course, it was the same one that I was booked in. They said that they thought that they could deal with it, and laughed when I said that I got a room somewhere else. This was a two-day show, so when I saw them the next day, they said that they all got other hotels, too. One of the guys was only going to the second show, so when he saw his room, the next day, the sent me a text asking where they had put me, because his room was really bad. I sent him a picture of my new room and told him it was fine as a joke, and he said that heâs never performing in Brownsville again. We told him that the same thing happened to us, and he got a room in a different hotel, too. None of us were willing to stay the night in this hotel, even if it was âfreeâ.

While in Brownsville with my sister she was staying here and love the pool/bar setup. I didnt stay there but visited the rooms my sister had and they were good. She stayed on first floor so there was alot of traffic in the hallway.I noticed everyone was in a very good mood. The staff there help my family enjoy every minute there. I would stay there is that was a option for me.

Do not stay here. Our room was not cleaned, the sheets on the ned were dirty. We didn't have any towels. Asked fo room to cleaned while we were out. This did not happen. Lady on duty at night said to talk to Manager in the morning about the bad condition that the room was in. Manager refused to even make any kind of adjustment for the room. His comment was I provided you a room.

I had a business trip that found me in Brownsville for a few days. I booked my stay at La Copa Inn. I read some reviews and it sounded OK. I was in for a surprise. My reservation was somehow rejected without me knowing. I had to provide another payment..? I'll keep an eye on the CC statement for sure. Went to my assigned room........Looked like someone had just been evicted! Trash everywhere and dirty linens. I instantly called the desk. They reassigned another room. Room looked better, but was musty. Light bulbs were blown, no toilet paper holder, no bath mat, pillows and mattress were dead. I had to check-out and find another place. This place was the worst I'd ever been too...
