My wife and I stayed at the Renaissance Hotel on a weekend night and enjoyed it. The hotel has a lot of rooms, but it did not seem overly crowded. We enjoyed the breakfast and the service was friendly and the food was good. We walked in a trail down to the pond and saw a deer which was fun. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet, so we had a deep sleep. The fitness room is nice with a separate Peleton room. We would stay here again.

Our stay at RENAISSANCE AUSTIN HOTEL Marriott property, was nothing short of a nightmare. As loyal Marriott members, we expect a high standard of cleanliness and service, but this experience completely shattered our trust. The biggest issue? Bed bugs. We discovered them in our room after noticing bites and spotting in the shower. This is completely unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one under the Marriott brand. A clean, safe environment should be a top priority, and this hotel clearly failed to meet even the most basic standards. When we immediately reported the issue to the front desk, we expected swift action, but instead, we were met with frustrating delays. Rather than promptly addressing the situation and issuing a refund, the staff dragged their feet, offering only vague reassurances and excuses. It was clear that guest satisfaction was not their priority. Being Marriott members, we expected a higher level of service and accountability, yet we were left feeling ignored and undervalued. Bed bugs are a serious health and hygiene issue, and the lack of urgency from the hotel was beyond disappointing. We strongly urge Marriott to address this situation and ensure no other guests have to go through such a distressing experience. Until significant improvements are made, we cannot recommend this hotel to anyone.

This is a very nice hotel. The rooms are spacious. The restaurant is outstanding, burgers are great. There is lots of lounge area outside to sit by a fire pit and have a cocktail. They have an indoor and outdoor pool. This hotel is located near lots of shopping and restaurants.

I am going to rate overall 5 stars because I love this hotel and the bar staff. I seldom write reviews, but what I witnessed on CHRISTMAS DAY between an manager and an employee was quite heart breaking. One of our favorite bartenders walked into her shift and greeted all the guests warmly before even putting her purse down or removing her jacket. She was met, by a young man who humiliated and berated her in front of a full bar of guests. I feel compelled to express my concerns regarding this incident that occurred on, again, CHRISTMAS DAY! I believe this warrants your attention. Many of witnessed this interaction and found deeply troubling. In front of guests, this addressed in a manner that I believe was not only unprofessional but also humiliating. The comments made about work and capabilities were not only inappropriate given the audience but also undermined the hard work and contributions these people make to your team. I understand that managing a team comes with challenges, and constructive feedback is essential for growth. However, delivering feedback in a public setting can have detrimental effects on an employee's morale and confidence. It is vital that you create an environment where team members feel respected and valued, even during moments of correction or criticism. Leaders set the tone for our workplace culture. I believe that handling such situations privately fosters respect and encourages a positive atmosphere for both employees and guests alike. I urge you to consider to support each other in maintaining a respectful environment that uplifts your team members rather than diminishing their efforts. And of all days. Christmas, when you should be appreciative that your staff is there for your guests instead of with their families! We all showed our gratitude to her and thanked her for her committed hospitality that she shows us on our over nights. Thank you for taking the time to read my concerns.
