Danny treated me like a queenâŠcouldnât be happier with his service! I will definitely be back and recommend Marriott Downtown Knoxville for their valet and accommodations along with the option for day parking. Youâll feel safe leaving your car in their care.

A most enjoyable stay and the Marriott staff was very welcoming. Such a great location in Knoxville. Of note, was the incredible valet team who also offered a free shuttle service to local restaurants and bars. Our driver Simon was the absolute best and was such a great contributor to this stay being so good. Great job Marriott!

The Marriott Knoxville Downtown is in prime location, making it easy to walk to the University of Tennessee and other attractions. The rooms have an updated look, are clean, and feature nice hardwood floors. The heating and air conditioning system is quiet and efficient. The rooms are the standard Marriott offering, focused on business travelers, and the bathroom was very small. The placement of the toilet cuts off half of the usable vanity space. Service was pretty good, but more reactive compared to the proactive, luxury service experience at The Tennessean next door. First, check-in felt impersonal, with no acknowledgment of Marriott Bonvoy status and a âmove you in, move you outâ experience. The front desk staff generally lacked enthusiasm and appeared to always have something else taking their attention. The front desk is off to the side, which creates a less approachable vibe. You donât get the constant warm greetings that you do at some higher end hotels. We were disappointed that there was no complimentary water in the rooms, even as elite members. When I asked what we were to use with the in-room coffeemaker, they said to just take water from the Market. This was very nice, but I wish this hadnât been necessary to ask for and I didn't feel comfortable asking again the next day. Our room on the 5th floor had a limited view due to a large building roof. The park view is not as impressive as it might be made out to be. Either way, I would choose a higher floor if possible. Housekeeping and the valet team were the best part of the service team. Housekeeping was very responsive to a cleaning smell issue we had in the room and insisted they would do what was needed to make us happy. The room was cleaned every day, including fulfilling our requests. The valet team was also friendly, quick, and responsive. However, they donât provide certain upscale touches. For example, they brought us a luggage cart but didnât offer to load our luggage or take it to the room. When we needed to grab something from the car, they simply handed over the key and pointed to where the car was. The lobby also wasn't as clean as it could be, with dirty dishes left out late every morning. I never really saw anyone cleaning common areas, and they seemed frequently behind in keeping up with a full hotel. Amenities were as expected, other than the lack of free water. Valet parking is $38 per night (self-parking would be difficult), there is an average fitness center, but no pool. Food options are somewhat limited, with the coffee shop offering mostly grab-and-go items and the restaurant focusing on the bar. However, there was no resort fee, which is appreciated since the amenities donât reflect âextras.â While the location is a major plus, the average service and lack of attention to detail define the overall experience. In the end, this is a standard Marriott focused on business, and I am sure that is the intended experience. The hotel is fairly new, having opened in 2022, and this is certainly reflected in the quality, which is nice. I would stay here again if I ever came through Knoxville. Overall, the service, look, feel, and cleanliness are better than most, but not upper echelon. I suspect the hotel will start to show its age in the 5- to 10-year range if attention to detail is not increased. The Tennessean next door is the more upscale option. It did not appear that hotel was in any better shape, but the service is more associated with proactive luxury, whereas the Marriottâs service is polished & reactive.

Fantastic hotel, great club, but best part was the free shuttle for around the area. This is such a nice feature at in an area with so many hills. I would recommend this for a UT game or any other visit to the city. I specifically like this for business as it saved the company money.

5/5 Simon offered me the shuttle service from the Marriott Knoxville hotel. I forgot some items and kindly took to a store to meet my needs. A great service provided! Thank You! Do not stop the shuttle. It separates you from all other hotels. Great job!
