We were getting into town very late the day before our wedding so they said we could pick up our map and key code from the office overnight box. We ended up getting into town at Midnight. We left the office with our stuff and went straight to the cabin. Upon entering the cabin we noticed it was nasty as if people had just walked out and it hadn't been touched since (see pictures). We spoke to a lady on the emergency line who said she would have someone see about getting us a refund for that night and getting it cleaned up. She asked if there was anywhere in the cabin we could sleep for the night and we said no it was completely dirty. We ended up having to pay for a hotel at almost 1am the day of our wedding. The next day we called back the emergency line since the office wasn't open on Saturday and spoke to an extremely rude man. I was very nice at the beginning of the conversation but then the man said the cabin had been cleaned and that they could t prove it wasn't me so they were doing nothing about it so I ended up being less than nice with him. I would assume they have cameras at the office so they would be able to see me get there at midnight and then call them 5 mins later saying the cabin was nasty and taking pictures as soon as we got there. Yes in those 5 minutes we managed to drive to the cabin and make a mess and then call them. Thankfully we had booked through our wedding chapel and they were able to get us a refund. Worst customer service experience I have ever had. I never leave bad reviews but I had to let others know ahead of time to be prepared and if you still choose to rent with them get there during office hours so they see you when you check in.

We stayed here for our family trip and the cabin is in such a beautiful area . Very close to the main strip in Gatlinburg and they also have a pool. The cabin got all 10 of us and it even had a hot tub that we enjoyed very much. Pool table was good for entertaining the kids and they also had cable. The cabin had a loft with a bathroom and bedroom and then 3 bedrooms. It was perfect for our kids and families. There is a grocery store right around the corner and the cabin has pots and pans and stuff for you to cook with including a grill outside. This helped us save some $$$ because we didn’t have to eat out all the time. We loved sitting on the front porch in the rocking chairs and got a pretty good view of the mountains. We had an amazing time at the cabin. I would say the cabin did have some minor improvements that would have improved our stay. My husband has had back surgery and still have issues and the beds were not as comfortable as we thought. Move too far to the middle and you’ll sink right down. One of the kids got a good gash in their foot by pieces of something sharp left on the porch (possibly pieces of the old grill since the one we used was basically brand new). The pool table also had holes in the pockets so the balls constantly fell and hit the ground. Like I said all minor things that could just use some improving. Overall we had a great stay and would probably come again.

Arrived late in the afternoon, found our cabin, walked in the front door, only to be assaulted by an odor of cigarette smake and body odor. Found the a/c intake to inspect the filter only to find no filter but half a dozen air fresheners in it's place that had long expired. Did an inspection to see what else was wrong and decided to go into the city and rent a room in a hotel for the week. Was much happier that we decided to get away from Mountain Shadows Resort and find a cleaner place .

I don’t have the time to list all of the reasons why you should avoid this place. My family just arrived for a weeks vacation staying in this cabin. The maintenance on this property has been minimal to say the very least. Total dump. Looks like a college rental property. It must be an embarrassment to the rest of the units in this community. Waste of money. Avoid or you will be writing a similar review soon.

Upon arrival we noticed broken blinds, broken wooden floor planks, the hot tub smelled sour, and the lights were broke on it ! Patio furniture was broken. We had absolutely no water pressure so taking a shower was difficult especially for someone who is clean and can’t even take a nice clean one. Very disappointed even after complaining. Nothing done ! Definitely needs this fixed!
