GrandStay Residential Suites Rapid City

I think I would mostly just say this: for the price, this is a really good place to stay. To steal, in part, from a previous review: it is quiet, it is spacious, and thus comfortable, even though the furniture is neither top quality nor new, and it has an actual kitchen. This is a good location to stay to explore downtown Rapid City, the Black Hills and at a greater distance, the Badlands, and even further, Devil's Tower. The only "downside" is that it is not "fresh" / recently renovated. But we stayed two nights, and found it a very good place to stay. Especially if you are considering value for the money, and want a bit of space an typical hotel room doesn't offer.

Small apartment room with kitchenette, living room, bedroom. Pool, hot tub, breakfast included, extremely clean and friendly staff. I will definitely recommend this. It was close to I90. Minutes from historic downtown, 5 minutes tops.

The good - Hotel is very quiet and small - Bed and pillows were comfortable - Location is good, a little off I90 so it doesn't get the road noise but close enough that it's easy to get going in the morning - Near many restaurants The bad - It's unfortunate that the hotel doesn't have newer furniture or carpet - Carpets needed deep cleaning or replacement - room, hallway and entrance - Furniture in the room - really not good. I wouldn't even sit on it. Needs to be replaced. - Room could have been cleaner overall. If the hotel is updated it would be a great place to stay.

The hotel was fine but don't ask the clerk about restaurants if you want a good dining experience. We should have checked Trip Advisor. When we asked the clerk for a dining recommendation, she said there was all kinds of restaurants on Haines Ave right by the hotel. All we found was cheap franchise restaurants. We don't eat at franchise restaurants at home, so we sure don't when we travel. Disappointing evening

Nice property conveniently located near I-90 and the city. Breakfast was a little sparse based on other hotel included breakfast's that I have had. The food otherwise was OK. The workout room was difficult to get into because you had to " push hard on the door " after using your key card. Room was a 8.5 out of 10 on cleanliness. Place was quiet. Did not use the pool or any other facilities. Rate charged was less than what was shown online.
