Black Elk Resort Cottages and RV Park

A nice cozy RV park and cottage rental. 8 spaces for full hook up and numerous cottages. They are located right on Hwy 16th, so there is somer road noise, but I didn't find it too disruptive.They have a very nice covered outdoor seating area with propane grill and couch starting for a large group. They also have an outdoor fire pit with eating, and they build a bonfire every evening for the guests. They are five miles from Hill City. The taproom is small and friendly. They have a half dozen beers, frozen pizzas, and snacks. I will return anytime I am in the area.

Cute little cabin within driving distance of Mt. Rushmore, Keystone, Deadwood, Custer State Park and other scenic areas! Comfortable bed, large fridge and tv, Tap Room serving local beers right on the premises, large fire every night with S'Mores kits in the office for sale! The owners are more than happy to share their knowledge with you. There's also laundry facilities and a playground for the kids on the grounds. Hill City is just down the road with restaurants and a supermarket. This is a GREAT home base if you visit this area. You are SO close to Mt. Rushmore that you can go see it in the daytime and return at night to see it lit up using the same parking pass!

We stayed in the wildcat cabin as a family of 4 and it was perfect. It is one room with a queen and 2 twins and the bathroom is large! There was plenty of space for our stuff and very clean. The resort has a small playground, a common area for lounging under a pergola, yard games, grills for you to use, and a campfire every night. The lobby has a bar in it as well. The family who runs it is very nice and so accommodating! The location was great to get to everything but also a quiet place to stay away from all the people. We would stay there again!!

What a wonderful place to stay! Very clean. Friendly owners. Good location. I highly recommend. Cabins are nicely decorated and very clean. Grounds are very well kept and it’s any easy drive to go anywhere in the black hills. Oh and the kitchens are stocked with anything you would need to prepare food so you don’t have to go out. We stayed in Buck Horn.

This is the 3rd time we have stayed here and each time was always better than the last. We have always stayed in the Wildcat Cottage and have enjoyed our time there each time. We would highly recommend staying there, the owners are just great and always go the extra mile to make your stay the best that they can. I know when we go to the Hills that the only place we we stay will be the Black Elk Resort!
