Courtyard by Marriott Charleston Summerville

Hands down, worst experience. Upon entering my room, there was maintenance man who told me I’d have to get another room. Complained that they gave me the room. Front desk complained about maintenance. I just wanted a room, not A commentary of the inner workings of the hotel and their complaints with it. The restaurant was closed for the evening. Purchased a drink at the sundry shop. It was over $20 for one small Bottle of Prosecco. I said if I had purchased it at the restaurant that should have been open it would’ve only cost 12.00. The front desk person did not care. I asked for a refund and they Said to leave it for the manager in the morning. Based on the entire experience, I felt certain that I would never receive a refund so I took the drink and left. Poor customer service all the way around. I will not stay here again. I would recommend That you do not either. I expect a lot more from Marriott, especially for the price of the room.

Recently refurbished CY, clean, safe, friendly helpful people on staff. We were twice evacuated from hurricanes in Florida and found this place on Bonvoy. Adjacent to shopping restaurants walking distance. Vicious Biscuits, Bad Daddy Burgers, great salads as well, Halls Chophouse. All great, service dog friendly. Starbucks across the street.

I was in town for a wedding and the couple suggested this hotel (as it was near the venue). This was a nice stay in a clean and comfortable room. I liked the hotel's close proximity to a number of restaurants and shops. We especially liked Vicious Biscuit for brunch!! The disappointing thing about the hotel was that the bar and breakfast in the hotel lobby is apparently closed on the weekends and we were there on a Saturday. Otherwise it was a lovely stay. The pool looked nice however I did not have time to swim. I would definitely consider staying here if I'm ever in Summerville again.

Do not stay here! Room was dirty (food crumbs all over the floor and hair in bathtub) and I was overcharged. After six weeks of calling and emailing the hotel and Marriott corporate both have agreed my bill should be adjusted, but still nothing has been done. I give up and will be staying with a different hotel from now on, they've lost a twenty year loyal customer over this.

I've stayed here 2-3 times over the last two years while traveling and it is always a decent stay. Rooms are reasonable for the price. You likely won't be blown away or overly disappointed either way. The biggest selling point for this hotel is the location. Tons of food options within walking distance and very close to the interstate for easy access.
