Ocean Escape Condos

Perfect vacation with family! The condo was exactly as pictured. Plenty of room for the six of us to spread out. I really enjoyed the private balconies in the bedrooms. Beautiful picture window in the living area. Appreciated the kitchen being well stocked. Parking was nice and convenient. Easy two minutes walk to the beach. Looking forward to staying here again.

The Landmark hotels, which is the franchise umbrella that ocean escapes condos falls under is a terrible company. Their staff has no idea what's going on, are zero help, and are basically just standing around. It boasts multiple pools, lazy rivers, hot tubs and water slides, BUT those amenities come from the combination of 4 different hotels- all which are incredibly dirty, and are a 5, 10, 15 and 30 minute walk from the condo. You need key cards to get into all the hotels garages, which, by staying at the condos, we do not have, so you have to pay to park at the closest beach entrance, or walk. We tried to explain to the front desk staff that we are staying at the condos, that are through the Landmark, which is their umbrella company, which gives us, as guests, full access to their pools, and we were told that it's news to them, but if we wanted to use their pool, we wouldn't get arrested because they don't care if we swim! All the hotels: the Landmark Hotel, Hotel Blue, Captain's Quarters and Crown Reef, are "ALL" badly in need of a face lift, are terribly staffed and a need a thorough cleaning. They are incredibly dirty. On a separate note, it's unfortunate to have to mention, that the area surrounding the condos and the Landmark Hotel is a hub for a large amount of homeless people and there was a great deal of drug dealers hanging in the corners of the adjacent streets. It was very obvious. Because of that, I was nervous about walking alone or allowing my kids to walk by themselves in the evening or early morning. They slept at many of the entrances to the beach, on benches and in the abandoned house behind the condo. The police were very present and sat directly in front of the condo most nights because of it. Something needs to be done about that situation. That is a vacation destination and people pay a lot of money to go there, and we deserve to feel safe.

First and foremost if you don’t want your kids subjected to drug deals and prostitution stay away! Nice condo, VERY, VERY wrong location! You check in At landmark resort and are told to use capt quarters pools which happens to be a mile up the road and no you can not park there! Nice walk when it’s 90 degrees! The first thing I noticed and thought to myself is we paid 4,000 for a condo with no washer and dryer, not even an ice maker in the fridge!! The first night the air broke, by 8 am and calling the office 3 times we had to leave the room because is was 80 degrees in there already! No ice makers or snack or drink machines in the building! The condo was nice but not 4,000 nice! We were on the 4th flood which is the “premier “ suit and there was nothing premier about it! So if you want to walk a mile to a pool, ohhh and get kicked out of land marks pools and be dead in the middle of drug town be my guest! Never in my life again!! I was ready to come home the 3 rd day of our 7 day vacation!!

Overall nice new condos. Built in approx 2021. Our unit had 3 bedrooms and slept up to 10. Although one bedroom was off the entrance / kitchen and didn’t have a door so no privacy. Modern with nice finishes. There were 2 balconies. One private off the primary bedroom. Primary bedroom was large and has a lot of room. The other balcony had dual access from the living room which faced the street and the bedroom with a door. 2 showers and 3 toilets eliminated any waiting to get ready in the morning. Granite counter tops and a dishwasher was a nice addition. Large TVs in all rooms and very large in the living room. The WiFi code was written on the TV. For the price, mid week it was a good value. Although on the 2nd floor there was not much view of the ocean. We couldn’t pick the room but I’d suggest a higher floor if possible. Stainless appliances and dishes, silverware, cooking pots and pans. No laundry in the unit though. Free parking behind the building. Elevator makes it easy to get to the room. Can be a little bright with the street lights about even with 2nd floor units.
