Unit 115 was clean and very comfortable. Lovely views of the pool and ocean from the balcony. Located close to Broadway at the Beach and downtown area. Plenty of excellent restaurants nearby and both regular golf and mini golf courses too. A great place to stay.

Three of us booked unit 308 at Anchorage I, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina USA starting on the long weekend of September 2024. I recommend no one comes here on any long weekend because not a soul is around to assist you. Take it from me this is 100% true. On arrival we had difficulty getting indoors and out of our unit as the lock mechanism on the door was malfunctioning. It was horrendous because no one was around, the entire staff had taken this long weekend off. Not that there ever was anyone around, staff at this condo is non-existent, and there is no office. It was evident a cleaner had been there at some point because he/she left piles of dirty laundry throughout the walkways. Everyone works remotely across the globe, therefore be prepared that no one is nearby to assist you. It was day three before someone finally telephoned us and that's the day we moved out and found another place to stay. The unit is very dated and it was only partially cleaned. The walls and baseboards had been scribbled on, plus they were dirty. The front hall closet was extremely dirty, its a spot where the beach chairs were thrown into so the floor was sandy. The kitchen had been renovated decades ago, it was clean but dated and it offered all the utensils and basics you would need. No kuerig coffee machine was found even though it is advertised as being in the unit. The two washrooms were clean, dated and the rest of the place was downhill into the doldrums. Honestly, I do not believe the carpet has ever been shampooed because it stunk, plus the rugs had not been vacuumed, potato chips were on the rug when we walked in and the couch had stains on it. We could not enjoy the view on account the sliding glass door was extremely difficult to open. My spouse was heaving and hoeing to open it, then he noticed the screen was bent. It had come out of the track and it did not fully close. In the master bedroom where the other balcony door was, it had no screen whatsoever, so leaving the door open at night for a cool breeze was no longer an option. It was not until after we had booked this unit that we found out it was going to be fumigated on Tuesday and notes to us were to let these cleaners in to do their job. Within our first 24 hours we killed a bug on the drapes in the master bedroom, another one on the ceiling, we saw a cockroach go into the oven, a bug was in my bedroom and another southern Carolina beetle actually climbed onto my foot without me even feeling it and that happened in the kitchen too! And then it happened... we thought let's go for a swim before we hit the hay and that was short lived because these two inch long gigantic bugs were all over the pool deck crawling around and crowded on the gates leading into the pool. It was just unbelievable. During the day when we used the pool, it was interesting to know that the regular condo owners who lived here knew all about the unit we were staying in. They had nothing good to say about it except the view was nice. And to think that we had paid $2,300.00 for six nights for this dump was so heart breaking. Also guests need to stop writing misleading reviews because many made this unit out to be like a gorgeous spot when it certainly was not.

This is our second stay at this property. The condo we were assigned is due for an upgrade. The couch in the living room stinks of mildew, the shower has mold in the crevasses, the wall has splatters of something, and the general cleaning is subpar. We used the trash bag that was in the bin and find out that there are not additional bags available. The common areas are in need of maintenance. There was an upgrade to the fire alarm system that brought hours of load talking and banging. In the evening our neighbors above us were bowling or building something into early morning. There were people in the pool late in the evening. Overall our experience was less than positive. I will not return, nor will I recommend this property to anyone.

Donāt stay here! We have stayed here many times over the years but it has gone completely downhill. Never had a reason to complain before. This year rules not enforced. Older condos so there is some noise transfer to be expected but this year noise for 2 week stay was constant and so excessive starting at 5:00 am - 10:00 pm everye day. Property manager, Lisa Foster, was completely unprofessional and ineffectual. Other than call the people above us, nothing proactive or productive was done even though we had video showing banging on floor from unit above was excessively loud and would cause our unit pendant lights to sway. Because tenant above told Lisa during call they werenāt making any noise that was sufficient for her. We were told we were the problem and just āsensitiveā to noise when no effort was made to listen to the video, come to either unit or speak to people above us in person. Other issues with unit (Anchorage 1 #206). Used to be very affordable and clean and family orientated. Now people are smoking weed many of the units/balconies, constant noise, in pool after hours, etc. Also many of the outdoor halls the wood is breaking away and unsafe, the elevator did not work on numerous days, tenants would just leave bags of garbage in hallways outside units. In our unit the sliding doors did not work, fridge took forever to cool anything, lights not working properly, mold around living room vent, toilets not flushing properly, sink broken, bathroom fans not working well, etc. Despite previously loving going here we highly suggest people stay somewhere elseā¦not worth the risk of going and property management not enforcing the rules and basically making it impossible for you to enjoy your vacation. Would rate less than 1 out of 5 if possible.

We booked our stay the week before going, last minute. The next week HURRICANE IAN developed so I contacted the property about my reservation. We live in Florida and were under a Hurricane Watch! The storm's path was directly blocking us from traveling to Myrtle Beach and then the storm actually hit Myrtle Beach. I tried to work with the property to cancel my reservation but they would not and insisted that I would not receive any kind of refund. Nothing! They would not cancel and did not refund ANYTHING. I am out nearly $1000! We did not stay a single night and they did not have to lift a finger over that time frame yet they felt totally fine keeping all of our money. If you are reading this review I hope you will not stay at Anchorage, just for the fact of how they treat hard working people. I travel frequently and have never been treated this way.
