I have traveled quite a bit, and this is hands down the worst place I've ever stayed. The pictures are misleading! There were brown stains on the bed skirt, carpet and wall. The fan in the bathroom didn't work, there was a plastic shower curtain, and poor lighting in the bathroom. The TV stand was the mini refridgerator, and there was about a 2 inch gap under the door to the room. Our room was on the front of the hotel, and there was noise from traffic all night (trucks and motorcycles). The "continental breakfast" was individually wrapped snack cakes and generic coffee. All of this may have been tolerable for a cheap room but this was a highly priced room advertised as a renovated historic hotel.

Stephanie was so helpful and gave us a conference room, office help as we needed to print some documents urgently. Their room was comfortable too. The food is delicious and they treat their customers so well. I highly recommend!

The hotel was almost sold out due to a wedding party so maybe I just got the bottom of the barrel. The best part was the staff - all friendly and helpful! But the place hasn't been upgraded in over 20 or 30 years ... My room was a 3rd floor walk up: actually two long thin rooms + modest but functional bath. The first room had a large very old sofa and new TV, the other had a double bed, "dorm" fridge, microwave, desk and lamp at the opposite end of the room from the bed. (i.e., no reading in bed possible). Not to forget the push button phone attached to nothing. Breakfast was DIY "pod" coffee system plus an assortment of plastic-wrapped pastries probably from Dollar Store. I would have given more stars if this experience was lower priced, but at $200 per night I sincerely question the value-for money. It has good bones - please fix it up!!

This review is about the hotel only - i did write a review on the restaurant (Bistro 1202) under restaurants. The room itself (2 beds) was fine as in I considered the beds comfortable and the window A/C unit (itās a historical building so no central A/C) did a good job. On the slightly disappointing side was the size of the TV. I was (i think) about a 30ā - or less. I my mind, given the low prices of TVās, a room this size should have at least a 40+ā TV⦠not that we used it a lot but still⦠also there wasnāt much space to put clothesā¦not a problem for me b/c typically live out of a suitcase for a short trip. Biggest issue with the room (and i donāt know if this applies to all the rooms) but the bathroom was the smallest Iāve ever experienced in a hotelā¦to a point of being very cramped when using the toilet - and if youāre a large person i would be unusable with the door closed. Iām sure this was a constraint with the historical nature of the building but⦠just beware.
