The Ritz Carlton Portland

We came for Tea Service and Tea sandwiches. The sandwiches were stale -like come on? Were they prepped like at 10 am and we had reservations at 1. It was hard to ask for a new HOT TEA but I did and they just brought hot water. Can I try multiple teas. ? The deserts were great. The service is mediocre- I also had to ask to be moved because they placed grown adults amongst a family room. Yeah not enjoying a bunch of kids. I can’t believe the tea sandwiches tasted like cafeteria food in 5th grade. Total bummer for 75$ plus mandatory 20$ service fee. Hmmm who knew. ? It’s the Shitz Carlton.

Spectacular Property The pool with 3 glass walls around it was amazing. It was up high so the views of the mountains, the river, and the upgraded buildings in the downtown area was very pleasant. It had a nice size hot tub, and numerous chairs for lounging. The room was absolutely delightful. The quality of the amenities, the luxurious linens and towels. It was spotlessly clean & sparkling. The room was incredibly comfortable. The lobby was a wonderful place to sit & chat by the fireplace

We really had a great time. The facilities were clean and the staff was responsive and helpful. We also loved the gym --- one of the best ever for hotel. Special shout out to Yanish for getting us into the restaurant for dinner. He went above and beyond. Bartender Kyle was also excellent

This is a brand new hotel. Rooms and amenities are top notch. Two blocks from MAX transit and Powell’s bookstore which is a Portland gem. I don’t swim, but i swam here very nice pool. Jay at the front desk was very helpful as well as every other person I interacted with. Thank you for the stay.

I stayed at the RC Portland and though the hotel is on the pricier side, especially in the Portland area, it can be justified. The location is extremely central and the room quality is very high and super comfortable, especially as it is using the newer Ritz Carlton design language. The facilities and in particular the pool and jacuzzi the 19th floor are really classy and the F&B options provided are good too. I would recommend this hotel to people looking for the best place to stay in Portland and would advise to book this through either Chase Edit, Amex Fine Hotel & Resorts, or a Marriott STARS agent to get the best value of their stay here.
