Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Medford

Very clean, very good front desk staff. We just need a night before heading off to Crater Lake. We used the local recommendations for some quick food and had a great night's sleep. Very easy to get too and very quiet. This is a good location for dining in the area, and toward the south end of town.

Stopped here on an overnight drive. Our third visit here. I actually made notes this time. A convenient location, right off I-5, and close to restaurants. Set back from busy roads, so quiet and nice views. The bathroom was spacious and brightly lit, with lots of counter space. Unfortunately it had a tub and shower curtain instead of a walk-in shower. There was only one small towel rack by the sink. I don't understand hotels that want you to reuse your towels but don't provide racks for drying them. The bedroom was sparsely but functionally furnished. The HVAC was quiet, and the window could be opened (both important features for me). Clean and comfortable!

Nice Hotel in a great location. Rooms are nice and comfortable. Beds are very comfortable. Air-conditioning works awesome and is very quiet. Bathrooms are nice with walk in shower. Internet works very good. Hotel is close to lots of restaurants and shops. Easy access to the freeway. This is a great place to stay.

Great hotel in the middle of Medford. We were out in Boston on a college scouting tour and stayed here to be close to Tufts University. We liked this location because it was central to the campuses we were visiting, and had the benefit of having a town center-type shopping area attached to it. The hotel itself is fine, but what really is driving my 5-star review is the staff and their flexibility. A day after we checked in, two of us got COVID and were pretty much knocked out from it. In addition to letting us check in early because our flight was early, we were able to get a very late checkout so we could go straight to Logan to get home. A lot of hotels won't give much in the way of check-in/check-out, but these folks went out of their way to accommodate us. I see this place is ranked 20th out of hotels in Medford.. but I can tell you if I get back to Medford I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. There's a lot in the area and the staff are exceptional.

This was my first stay at the Fairfield Inn and it was an option when I couldn't book a room at my usual hotel (Rogue Regency). My first question to Fairfield when making my reservation back in April was, "Do you have an airport shuttle?" I was told that yes, they have an airport shuttle and this was confirmed with Google. I arrived at the Medford airport and called Fairfield and asked if they could please send the shuttle to the airport to pick me up. The young man on the other end of the line said that they don't have a shuttle. I told him that I was told that they DO have a shuttle and his reply was, "We've never had a shuttle." I told him that I'm at the airport and need a ride to the hotel. He again stated that they don't have a shuttle. At this point in time, after a very long day in several airports, I became frustrated and asked him if I can't make it to my room, will I still be charged. The employee stated that yes, I'll still be charged and I said "Even though I was provided incorrect information about the shuttle?" Yes, he said. I know I raised my voice and for that I apologize but I then said "So I'm going to be charged for a room I can't get to?" I asked to speak to his supervisor because both of us were frustrated with the situation. The young man hung up on me! I called a taxi and was taken to the hotel and I must admit that I was impressed by how beautiful the hotel is. I then walked up to the registration counter and told the employee my name and that I have a reservation and that "I believe I just spoke to you and you hung up on me..." The employee said that I disrespected him and that's why he hung up on me. OK, I've worked in customer service and know that customers can become irate at times but I've never hung up on a customer so this was out of the ordinary. Here is the information I retrieved from Google just now (May 28, 2024) when I typed in "Does the Fairfield Inn in Medford have an airport shuttle?": "Yes, Fairfield Inn & Suites Medford offers airport transportation for guests. We recommend calling ahead to confirm details." As for the accommodations, this is a fairly new hotel and I was impressed with the beauty of it. The bed and pillows were so comfortable! Very nicely decorated. It may be a little pricey for some people. The bathroom is nice but there appeared to be mold on the edge of the shower inside. The counter top to the side of the toilet had quite a bit of dust on it even though it's not too visible in the picture I'm attaching with my review. Other than that, everything seemed to be clean. If my usual hotel is not available, I'll probably go back and would love to see them put in a nice restaurant like Rogue Regency has. My suggestion is that they correct the misinformation on Google to read that airport transportation is not available through their hotel so others don't go through the same thing I did.
