I am not sure how old the hotel is but it looks new and fresh. Cleanliness is alpha and omega for any hotel and I found this Hampton to be spotless. Everything worked and looked very nice. The bed was great and furniture in the room comfortable. A lot of good places to eat dinner close by in town just across I-84. Excellent place to stop for the night as I did or stay a few days to explore the area. I would definitely stay here again.

Had a pleasant stay at the Hood River Hampton Inn. The hotel is located just off of the highway and close to the river. Rooms are clean and comfortable - no complaints. There are several restaurants within a short drive and downtown Hood River is not too far away either.

Beautiful hotel and near the beach!!!! We decided to go to Hood River to enjoy the last days of summer and this hotel was the best choice :) Breakfast in the morning was really good and it's a walkable distance to the beach, there's a delicious sushi restaurant right across the street.

Fantastic location and view! Walk out access all the trails along the river! Staff were fantastic and room was excellent. It is a bit close to the hiway so if you’re a light sleeper ask for a room facing away. Also plenty of local activities and dinner locations.

If there had been any other options for a place to stay along this part of our route home, we would have taken it. We've stayed hear once before and it's a VERY overpriced run-of-the-mill hotel that has delusions of grandeur. Of the eight Hilton properties we stayed at during our 4,000 mile trek this one was the most expensive...with very little to justify it. It will take an act of desperation in the future for us to ever stay here again...and the town of Hood River is like some creepy setting from an old Twilight Zone episode, so one more strike against this area. I guess it's just a bit too close to Portland to not end up a little strange...
