Buona Sera Inn

This overall Was a really good experience easy check in staff were friendly and helpful we had a lovely room quite small but well equipped the bed was super comfortable and clean sheets had a massive TV separate bathroom was decorated really nice thanks to all staff for making our stay great

Even though this motel says it's pet friendly, there isn't a spot anywhere for your fur baby to go potty. The only spot that looks like it could be a potty spot has a sign that says Not a potty spot. So you're stuck with your dog going potty either on the parking lot concrete (I don't know about you, but my dog will not do her business on concrete) or next door at the church grass. Unfortunately, the grass at the church is full of homeless tents and the homeless there make it clear they do not want a dog going potty near them. It makes for a very uncomfortable stay with a dog. If you're traveling with a dog, you may want to consider the Super 8 or Quality Inn down the street.

It's a really nice little, slow-paced place. It's entirely to be recommended. Inexpensive, clean, pretty relaxed altogether. Stayed there both headed down and back up to Palo Alto. Different room, both fine. No night desk, but good setup to get you into your room. Pleasant staff.

The person who checked us in was pleasant, but then tried to get political while watching a news program. I'm not interested in the owners political views, I just want to get a good nights' sleep. Upon entering the room we were hit with a very strong musty smell, like the room hadn't been opened up in quite a while. The furnishings are old but clean. The vertical blinds are so old they don't close properly so lots of light comes through. Even though the motel is right off a busy street there was little noise at night. There was no free breakfast, as the TripAdvisor ad states.

Buona Sera is a pretty exceptional low cost option when passing through the Grant's Pass area. It is a classic independent motel where you can drive up to your room and park. The motel owners are quite friendly and hospitable. It seems they care quire a bit for their guests. I stayed in the Starry Night room, which was right next to the office and about the size of a standard room. The glow in the dark stars on the ceiling complete the theming of Starry Night. The room was clean and comfortable. The one ding was slow wifi. I did not need it this night, but, if you need wifi, you may run into difficulties. The office hours were pretty limited, but I did not need anything after hours. This should be a top consideration for anyone needing a one night stay on their way through south Oregon.
