Holiday Inn Express Chillicothe East an IHG Hotel

We arrived late in the evening to see a note at the desk saying the desk agent was busy elsewhere. After waiting about 10 minutes she arrived and was rather curt and abrupt but we got checked in. Neither key card for the room worked, so my husband spent another 10 minutes tracking her down to get keys that worked. When we got into the room we realized the room had obviously not been cleaned. There was mold on and around the bathtub, the sink area and toilet was dirty, tile floors had spills and stains and the bedding was soiled!! At that point it was after 11pm and we were exhausted from traveling so we just went to bed. The next morning as we were checking out, we explained the situation to the morning desk agent and the manager. They apologized and said they were aware of the condition of the room!! We had paid with points and they assured us the points would be refunded to our IHG account. As of today, the points have not been refunded to the account AND we've been charged $286 on our credit card!! So we paid double for a disgusting room. On a more positive note, the employee serving breakfast was very pleasant and a hard worker.

I stayed her one night and liked it. I arrived late at night, but had no problems. The room was fine and clean. It was very bright. The staff was ncie and helpful as well. The breakfast was good and hit and hit all the needs. I would stay here again.

Bathroom obviously hadn’t been cleaned in many weeks. Neither GM or AGM reached out from my request to speak with them. Check out bathroom photos. Worst I’ve ever seen in many hundreds of hotel stays. Hotel has been updated, case goods nice, design nice. Overall design up to date. Downside: Bathroom was a scientific Petri dish.

After spending four hours traveling, I get here the room is musty the phone doesn’t work the air doesn’t work the room is stifling as well as musty smelling, and they no longer have blow dryers in the room or even available. Now I have to find a way a way to get to a store and buy a blow dryer. Trying to pack light as this was a business trip. We stay exclusively at Holiday Inn expresses, and I will have to say this has been one of my worst experiences. Not real pleased after working for eight hours traveling for four hours now I have to find a way to get to a store because there is nothing around this area that you can walk to.

Made reservations online, checked in online, great! Awesome breakfast. Excellent room! I was able to request extra pillows when I made my reservation. Everything was easy to do. The pool looked fun, but we weren't able to use it due to our travel plans.
