A terrace lounge and a fitness center is available on-site at Aloft Manhattan. The hotel also has a bar and a 24-hour snack bar. Aloft Downtown also offers free WiFi and a 24-hour front desk. A 42 inch flat-screen TV and a coffee maker is provided in every room. The bathroom features a shower and a hairdryer. Aloft Manhattan Downtown is 12 mi from LaGuardia Airport.

I had one of the worst hotel experiences of my life here. If you’re considering booking this place — don’t. Spend a little more and stay somewhere better. We arrived late at night (April 25, 2025) with a confirmed reservation. After checking in and leaving briefly to eat, we came back only to be told there was a ā€œproblemā€ with our reservation and that they had moved us to another hotel for the night. It felt like a clear case of overbooking and poor management. We had no choice but to accept it and waste precious time on a short trip. The next morning, when we returned, we were promised a room ā€œin 30 minutes.ā€ An hour later, still no room — and no shower. We had to leave our bags again and miss out on our plans because of the delay. When we finally got into a room later that night, it was boiling hot. I set the AC to the lowest setting, but it didn’t work at all. Worse — the window was left open, clearly a trick to make it feel less suffocating. The staff never warned us. By 5 a.m., I still couldn’t sleep. I spoke to the front desk and all they offered was, ā€œopen the window.ā€ For $350 a night! I asked to escalate the issue, but they claimed the ā€œgeneral managerā€ was ā€œon a planeā€ at 4:30 a.m. — obviously not true. This hotel ruined our trip. It stole our rest, wasted our time, and left us frustrated and angry. Please, do yourself a favor: avoid this hotel at all costs. It’s not worth the money, the stress, or the disappointment.

Nicole is the best bartender ever!! She makes my experience memorable every single time. Every time I visit she remembers what I like and treats me so nice. And she makes the best drinks, would recommend her every time. Can’t wait to go back just for Nicole!

Aloft Financial District (FiDi) in NYC is an EXCELLENT choice. The whole team is top shelf, especially Valiesha at the front desk, and totally focused on the guests’ experience. The location can’t be beat, close to the Subway & Downtown. Restaurants & bars abound. Don’t miss a visit (or several) with Nicole at Bar WXYZ. So good! Will be staying here again and again!
