Comparing to other motels I have stayed in in this area for similar price, was at the very bottom. Brown shower water, stained towels and wash rags, noisy environment all through the night. Breakfast and coffee were not as advertised.

The location was the only one with rooms available. The staff was very nice and friendly, kudos to them for their hospitality. The only issued we found was the fact the rooms were overly priced for their quality. We requested a "Non-Smoking" room in which was definitely not a smoke free room. We had our 2 younglings with us and of course I was a bit unhappy about that. The bathroom is extremely small, the floors needed to be swept & mopped badly, and the sink in the vanity area kept clogging up while washing our hands. We only stayed at the location for 1 night and left first thing in the morning. We will NOT be returning to this location.

While checking in, the staff gave me the wrong paperwork to sign with an increased price than the one quoted when I reserved the room. When I question that they shredded the form I had signed and gave me a new one with the correct price. I put that down as an honest mistake. We threw our bags into the room before leaving to go eat dinner. Upon return several hours later, there was a strong, overwhelming smell of pot coming from the room next door. I also discovered a used dirty washcloth hanging from the shower curtain rack with human hair stuck to it. We went to the office to request either a room change or a refund. The office staff seemed irritated at our concerns, and never apologized for anything. She just made excuses that housekeeping comes before she gets to her shift in the evening and she canât control what guest do once they get in their room. When I requested a room near the front of the property, she said they were fully booked for the night so I asked for a refund. She was then able to find an empty room, which upon inspection was OK. Between the odor, the nasty wash cloth, and the front desk attitude, we will never stay at another Howard Johnsonâs again.

Sam and BJ were absolutely exceptional during the check-in/check out process. Despite what other individuals have posted regarding this location in the past, it is currently immaculate and and even the rate is extremely competitive considering you are only 15-20 minutes away from the beach :-). I look forward to future visits to this location.

title says it all I came in at 9 Om but had to find the night entrance then call to get a manager to check me in . nice room but bugs and construction ( that started around 6 am ) NO BREAKFAST even though I tried for 2 hours to get in had to go to the night check in even though it was morning and called twice bwaited 45 minutes or so before giving up and sliding key under glass partition
