Management was incredibly rude, rooms were extremely dirty, without a doubt the worst hotel experience in Charlotte, steer clear at all costs They also are incredibly dishonest and attempted to steal, cannot say enough, stay away from this place

I checked In September 14, 2024. I saw tiny black bugs crawling in the tub and sink area, room 225. I asked to be moved and they moved me right next door. Of course there were bugs in the sink area there too (I have photos)I was offered to move across the hotel right in front of the pool. Needless to say we left and went to the AC Hotel which is an excellent property

The hotel experience was excellent. Clean and as expected. We were sent to the hotel by American Airlines because of a missed flight. But my review is really about two staff members we met the next morning, April 22: Mitch Dills, asst. manager, and Erika, who can really cook a quick, tasty breakfast! (Just found my notes!) Wife and I were a bit late for the hotel breakfast, but Mitch and Erika did their courteous best to get us coffee and she fried up some breakfast. Simple courtesies that made a big hit. Do not mean to go overboard, but I had to extend these thank yous.

Zero stars! I do not write reviews often but felt compelled to caution anyone considering a stay at this Courtyard by Marriott Charlotte SouthPark hotel. During a recent visit, my family and I encountered a discourteous and inconsiderate general manager by the name of Mitch. We were staying at the Residence Inn of SouthPark (also a Marriott)- which is under renovation and the pool was unavailable so the manager advised us that we could use the pool at the Courtyard by Marriott hotel (less than a block away). We checked in with the front desk, shared what we had been advised and after receiving an ok from the representative, my family and I went to enjoy our time together as it had been many years since our last vacation and this was a limited opportunity. After only a few minutes, Mitch stormed into the pool area and started shouting you cannot be here; you need to get out! I again explained that the manager from the other Marriott advised we could use the pool. He kept insisting that we need to leave. I gave him the name of the manager and said he could confirm with him. He persisted. I said we are the only ones here and are not disturbing anyone and would like to just enjoy our time together which he had abruptly ruined. I then made my way back to the Residence Inn to inform the manager that Mitch would not welcome any guests from a sister Marriott hotel. I was Told that Mitch had already called him and said that I was rude and swearing at him. Mitch, this is not true and is defamation of character. Not once did I swear, with my family as witnesses. His behavior was not only unprofessional but also deeply disrespectful. It’s clear that Mitch lacks the basic courtesy and integrity required to manage a hospitality establishment. This experience left us feeling humiliated and unwelcome. I strongly urge the hotel management to address this issue and ensure that no other guests are subjected to such mistreatment. This incident has left a lasting negative impression, and we will not be returning to any Marriott hotel.

Great guest experience. Nia at the front desk provided a seamless check in experience and offered restaurant suggestions. The room was clean and comfortable. I'll be staying here again and will suggest this property to family and friends.
