Red Roof Inn Rochester Airport

I knew this was a cheap hotel, and wasn't expecting luxury. But I also wasn't expecting: no smoke detector, dirty sheets, an unswept floor, a filthy microwave , a broken shower head, a broken luggage rack, no chair in the room, a faulty light switch, an empty toilet paper dispenser, and an empty shower gel dispenser. The desk manager himself had to come in and change the sheets, sweep and mop the floor, and fix the light. To make matters worse, the key pad entries on the back and side entrances to the hotel were broken, allowing anyone to walk in.

If you want to spend 100+bucks on a room in a hotel that is basically a welfare hotel, filled with illegal aliens situated in the hood, then this place is for you. To add insult to injury, they ripped me off upon check in by not honoring my discount price with tripadvisor. So much more to add but I want to forget this crap hole.

Good: close to airport Bad: staff is going through the motions Not all rooms are well cleaned (one room we stayed in had dirt specks and cobwebs in the corners) Only 2 pillows per room Ugly: Water came pouring out of the ceiling fan and flooded the bathroom floor with a half inch of water. They moved us to another room, but there was no discount for our trouble to make a room change in the middle of the night, and barely even an apology.

Despite his misgivings, my husband checked into this hotel. He had been biking and was desperate to get in and have a shower. I guess this was that time that we did not read the reviews. I hope the owners of this hotel hotel can do something to improve it. We need low cost hotels for people. However I did not feel safe or sanitary just standing in the room. Honestly, I hate to say it, but this place is disgusting.

Wanted a hotel close to the Rochester Airport for one night and decided to go with this place….BIG MISTAKE!!! The sheets on the beds had burnt spots all over, the toilet leaked, room not very clean and there was feaces still in the toilet. This has to be one of the worse nights ever!! Hallways aren’t clean etc. All they did was apologize for the issues… Would never ever stay here or recommend to an enemy! You guys need to do better!!!!!!
