The customer service was top tier! The amenities were excellent, and the room was plush, clean, modern and very quiet! For me, the hotel was centrally located, which made it easy to travel to the sites I wanted to visit, as well as visits to my friends who live in Chelsea. I will definitely be using The Even Hotel for all of my trips to New York.

This place rocks! Incredibly friendly staff, Yan at the front desk was so nice! Pleasant casual lobby area, great location just a 10 minute walk from Grand Central. The room is so clean and quiet. Also basic food options available which makes it very convenient. I will definitely stay here again!

Had a fantastic stay! The room was spotless and comfortable and the location was central and ideal. Huge shoutout to Yan at the front desk- she was so attentive and sweet and she made the experience even better. Highly recommend this hotel!!

Thanks for a brilliant stay. On arrival, we let the staff member checking us in know that one of our suitcases had been mistakenly taken at the airport. Her response (we think her name was Veena, sorry if mistaken!) was really kind, sorting us out with a few things to mitigate the problem. We felt in good hands from the off as a result of this friendly experience. Positives: 1 We picked this hotel based on reviews saying the rooms were a decent size for NYC. Even in this context, we were impressed, as it was even more spacious than expected. This was an 8 night vacation and even then, we didn’t find space to be an issue in the room. 2 Hotel is really well located, including the short walk to Grand Central to get onto the subway system. 3 Given the above points, we thought the price was good value. 4 The room was comfortable and cleaned to a great standard, as well as us finding it to be a quiet hotel which made for a good night’s sleep every night. 5 It was good to have use of the ironing board and safe, without having to ask for these additionally or pay extra. 6 Ours wasn’t a trip where we felt there was time to use the gym/wellness stuff in the room, but it was good to have the option, as on another trip we may have done 7 We enjoyed the breakfast in the hotel when we opted for that one day, and found the staff to be helpful and pleasant Only negatives we could think of: 1 The lift setup was a bit annoying at times. On the day of check-out, they were in such demand that it was taking everyone across the 30+ floors ages to actually be able to get in one to move around the hotel. We were nearly late for check-out as a result, despite leaving our room in good time. 2 One day our dirty towels were taken but not replaced, so when we got up extremely early to get to Brooklyn Bridge for sunrise, we unexpectedly found we only had hand towels to dry ourselves with before a big day. 3 Can see why there is concern from other reviewers over the hotel taking 500 USD payment on arrival, if people haven’t had this communicated fully. For this to be partially made up of a 270 USD deposit, which is pretty steep, would certainly be an issue if unaware and travelling on anything of a budget. That being said, we did get ours back promptly. Overall: We would definitely recommend this hotel to others. Thanks to the staff for a lovely stay!
