Tempo by Hilton New York Times Square

What a great hotel! The location is perfect, just steps from Times Square and the subway across the road. The rooms were very clean and modern and loved the blackout blinds which automatically opened when you walked in to reveal a fabulous view. We were on the 23rd floor and the lift system is excellent with friendly staff guiding you. Never had to wait long or was in a crowded lift. Great stay and highly recommend this hotel!

Friendly staff. Quick check-in. Room was very comfortable. Loved the clean, modern and spacious bathroom. Can't beat the location - a quick walk to Broadway shows and restaurants. The $25 coupon for Citi Bike was nice as it got me to explore the city on a bicycle which I would not have done otherwise. Will definitely be back. I do have one suggestion for improvement though. I hope the check-in area can be kept clear of stored luggage, as it leaves little space to maneuver and creates a chaotic impression when stepping off the elevator.

I checked in April 23, I stepped in gum in the shower. There was literally someone’s nasty chewing gum stuck to my bare foot in the shower which means the shower was never cleaned before my stay! When I talked to the front desk I got a call back from Brian who identified himself as the front desk manager and proceeded to argue with me about my complaint. It was the worse customer service I have ever received. Terrible experience!!

Great stay at Tempo, staff lovely and a particular thank you to front office director Marta Wilkes for helping with an unusual query, very friendly and professional. Great location and very clean with great, filling breakfasts. Lifts were a bit more complex than they needed to be but got used to them.
