Peloke's Motel

Firstly - the previous reviews seem to be from a long time ago. As you approach the motel it looks very much 1908s and that's what it turned out to be. The guy on reception was friendly enough and we went off to our room. It's a usual motel room with the normal facilities you'd expect. The decor and bed/chair was dated. We found that the bedsheets were clean and the bathroom and towels were clean. In fact we had a good night's sleep on the bed and pillows. The room itself would have benefitted from a full clean but, as I said, the essentials had been taken care of. The 4* Expedia rating says "very good", I couldn't go to that, hence the 3* rating.

Neil, hotel owner/manager has by far the worst customer relations I’ve ever seen. Extremely rude and unhelpful. Called us 20 minutes before our arrival to say that Expedia over booked the rooms (he gave it away) and “I’m forced to accommodate you, you’re not going to like the room.” Upon arrival, we played it off that he was doing us a favor and “taking off $20 of the fee, what a deal!” Made us pay for the room without even looking at it first. We had a wedding to attend so we needed to get dressed and ready for that after our 2 hour drive. Needless to say: Stains on sheets, walls, floor, mattress Exposed wiring in the room Smelled of cigarettes Hair/beard hair in sheets Proceeded to pack our things back up, after only 20 minutes, and leave to get our money back. Neil the manager proceeded to get hostile and yell at us and said he will not refund us. Just straight up said no. This place should be taken off all travel websites and probably be inspected by NYS Health and Safety. -100000/5 stars

Filthy room, and when confronted the manager was rude!! Refused to even reimburse 1/2 the payment. We had to leave and go a mile away to the Marriott. Un professional and disgusting place to stay!! The health dept should be brought in. Toe nail clippings and food in the bed!!! Yes that’s what i said!!! Disgraceful!!!

I liked the desk/vanity area, the tall mini fridge, the beds didn’t sore up my body, ac and heat works fast, right next to a gas station and convenience site, will definitely stay another night again!!

This Motel is in an excellent location for touring the area. Hudson, Catskill, Olana, Hudson Skywalk & More. Walking distance to Catskill, Hudson Skywalk & Olana. The couple that run this motel are very nice & accommodating. But the owner of this Motel really needs to put some $$ into the property.
