The new policy, which was supposed to be explained to us when we checked in but wasn’t, is rooms aren’t cleaned. You want clean towels? Put the dirty towels in the hallway!!! We had to ask at the desk why the room wasn’t cleaned, the wet towels not picked up from the floor, and no clean towels. I’ve no idea what to do with the trash in the wastebasket because that wasn’t emptied. Perhaps we were supposed to throw our trash in the hall. We were charged for parking. There’s no reason to park there unless you’re a guest. There’s nothing nearby that would make it convenient to park there if one is not a guest. There was a knob missing from the dishwasher. The breakfast was borderline inedible. There was cold cereal and oatmeal, but no milk. I didn’t think it was possible to ruin packaged syrup, but I was wrong. Applesauce was tasteless. The pre-packaged waffle was the only thing I found worth eating. Unless you’re there at breakfast, forget about getting a cup of coffee or tea. The coffee and teabags are spirited away right after breakfast. We used to enjoy staying here. We won’t be back.

We arrived at this hotel after a flight at a bit after 10 p.m. No one was around. The door was locked. The lights were off. Then we saw someone all the way in the back of the entrance hall. He came over and unlocked the door. He was not a bit welcoming. He asked our name and checked us in. He tried to give us a room on the first floor. No way. Not in a place like that....Finally he gave us a room on the top floor. We did not see one other person the entire time, during check in or during the next day. We stayed on points. But we have learned. We asked for a receipt. On the receipt was a charge for $4.37? What? That's the parking charge, the answered mysteriously. That's a strange parking charge, we said. He shrugged his shoulders. Corporate says we have to charge that. Only One Problem: We did not have a car!!!!!!!!!! We got dropped off by taxi. He agreed to remove this charge. BUT BEWARE. This is place not locally owned, but is owned by a distant corporate investor. I always ask now. Because these Marriotts that are clearly past their sell-by dates are being snapped up by ambulance-chaser types who are just trying to milk every last penny out of a property that's not just going down hill but tumbling over a cliff. And Marriott no longer makes any hotel conform to its rules. This is definitely one of those. On our way out of town, we stayed at a terrific hotel only a few minutes away from the airport that can't be praised enough.

This was our third overnight stay at this property and it was as good as usual. Customer service is always friendly and the rooms are clean. My husband's reward status is always acknowledged, which is appreciated and we are upgraded when the option is available. The windows open in the room, which is wonderful for those of us who need fresh air to avoid feeling claustrophobic.

This was our home base for three days, and it fit the bill perfectly. It's well-placed for exploring downtown ABQ, and close to the freeway for quick day trips to the surrounding environs. Since they were booked solid, we had an ADA room which was (by necessity) ENORMOUS! The only downside one might find with this room is the lack of a bathtub. The shower is designed for wheelchair accessibility, but that means it is also huge, with a folding chair and a flexible spray nozzle. The staff was friendly and efficient, the parking is fenced, and breakfast is hearty enough to get your day started on a high note. I would have no problem staying here again.
