Classic Inn Motel

This is the motel I always prefer when biketouring/travelling: low price/smaller room/firm bed/quick hot water/microwave/mini-fridge/flat screen TV/ample ice/excellent electricals. It simply is CLASSIC, updated with 21st century consumer needs, particularly free/fast WiFi. I won’t overnight in motels without it. I really appreciated the curtains for keeping out extraneous light, and the outlet that was in the table lamp base is such a great feature for recharging my cell phone! The nearby train sounds were not disturbing at all. The only downsides were no coffee or brekkie. BUT, that’s the risk of less expensive overnights. However, there are many closeby coffee shops/cafes/eateries/etc., which can provide that morning caffeine; I had coffee in a can. Overall, this motel is one of the best I’ve biked to/from. Knowing that I’d arrive about Sunset, I brought “to-go” food at another closeby restaurant, and it was so nice to recharge my body while watching the latest news/movies/etc. on that easily remote controlled flat-screen. I highly recommend THE CLASSIC INN to all budget minded travellers. It definitely has my coveted “¡Wheel of Approval!”

Very rude owner, he said a price first and when we were about to book it he put it up. When I asked why he just said that he would not rent a room to us anymore and to leave his property. He is extremely rude and hostile! Also the place stinks to rotten food when you get into the reception. A place to avoid!

The Classic Inn in Alamogordo is a good place to stay for the budget minded traveler in which category I include myself. My wife and I stayed here for a night in early August 2021 while on vacation and visiting nearby White Sands National Park and the New Mexico Museum of Space History in Alamogordo. This is your typical mom and pop operation probably dating back to the 1950s or 60s. It has pretty much everything you need - a basic but clean and functioning room at a good price. The outside and inside of the property were well maintained. In our room the air conditioner worked well and the bathroom facilities were in good working order. This is one of the least expensive places in Alamogordo, our room coming out to around $50 per night (including tax). The check-in process was simple and the front desk attendant was polite and pleasant. I like the fact that this property takes online reservations at many of the usual travel websites. Makes the reservation process easy but we really didn't need one as there appeared to be plenty of vacancies mid-week. My only complaint is that our room was a bit small and cramped for two people but since we were there for only one night, it was not that big of a deal. Overall, the Classic Inn was perfectly adequate for our needs and we would not hesitate to stay here again.

Nice comfortable place to stay,room was clean and prices were Great ,well lit parking lot made me feel more safe ,friendly staff ,I would definitely stay here again when We visit White sands national monument
