Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Carneys Point an IHG Hotel

You wouldn't think much of it from outside or lobby but boy, one of THE cleanest hotels I've ever stayed in. Everything worked. More modern than I expected. Room for everything.y room faced the greenery in the back, perfect. I didn't eat the breakfast so I can't call it. Coffee was just ok, nothing special but I drank it. I would def stay here again. It was so nice and quiet.

This conveniently located hotel, five minutes from the Delaware Memorial Bridge, is a perfect place for a road trip rest. But location is just the beginning- I also found a friendly staff and a large, comfortable, well-equipped room with lots of storage space. My one recommendation for improvement is to expand the parking area and mark it more clearly for car and truck parking.

Ugh - my biggest pet peeve when traveling is a lying receptionist - which we got here. When we were checking in, I asked if there was a quiet room available at the end of a hall away from elevators and ice machines. The woman looked me square in the face and said “yes”. We are in a higher tier of their loyalty program so this usually isn’t a problem. I would normally ask to see a floor layout but it was late and we were tired and I believed her. We said our thanks, got our key and when we got to our room, it was 1 off the elevator. EXACTLY what we asked not to have. Like the other reviewers said, this is an older hotel but other than the squealing shower, our room was fine. But they need to retrain their reception staff. That’s just unacceptable.

Meh… did it keep us warm and protect us from the elements ? yes… would I stay here again with all of the other hotel choices, no. Front desk was very nice- sheets were clean and the breakfast lady was very sweet. The hotel is very outdated, people smoking pot in their rooms (it is legal in NJ but can they not go outside?) nothing nice nearby… just not somewhere I would stay again.

The room was clean enough and comfortable. Breakfast was the standard buffet fare but the food was fresh and what was supposed to be hot was. Better than I have encountered lately at other Holiday Inn Express locations. Traveling north to Boston area, this was a very convenient location to access the NJ Turnpike - easy off and easy on. Would consider a stay here again.
