Comfort Inn SW Omaha I 80

Second night of a road trip. Changed room before unlading stuff as toilet lid and TP holder broken. New room had crooked toilet seat but we stayed in that room. After using toilet several times, toilet seat became loose and PT holder didn't hold the TP due to a poor design of the end cap (too small). Limited room plugs--none near the desk, but 2 on the night stand. Breakfast area was large but didn't have enough tables. Food area is cramped. This is not a repeat hotel for us.

Wasn't sure what to expect since all the reviews were older. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast has a great variety ( better then some of the other chains we've stayed at lately). Overall I am very pleased we stayed here and would do it again.

We had to wait for the attendant. As he approached, his work clothes was sloppy. And there was only 7 rooms of the 8 available. We reserved 2 months in advance. And the facility was very very dirty. Mold all over the rooms, not cleaned. Very sad.

Walked into the hotel and the Lobby was empty, there was no one behind the reception desk. We waited about 10 minutes finally a woman dressed in sweat pants and a dirty t-shirt comes strolling by. We asked if she worked there and she sighed deeply and answered yes. She seemed peeved that we were there. We were not impressed To be fair the rooms were clean except the carpet

Stayed here recently with my wife during a business trip to Omaha. Got a nice sized, King Suite room with Jacuzzi and shower. Nice large, spacious room, though a bit out dated. That doesn't really bother me much at all, except the Jacuzzi simply DID NOT WORK. Couldn't even turn the water on! In addition to this, the hot water in the bathroom was virtually non-existent. I'm not exaggerating in the least when I say that you had to turn the water on in the shower, sink, etc., and simply walk away for several minutes and come back for it to even be warm. It seems the hospitality industry everywhere we go has completely abandoned even the most basic and standard elements of ensuring people have a pleasant stay while traveling. We were loyal to another hotel chain (IHG hotels) for over 25 years when we started getting frustrated with their increasing poor management and quality and starting staying in Choice hotels hoping to see something better. Well, they've been a major disappointment as well. We don't expect 5-star resort treatment at these places, but when trying to book the better rooms and still stay budget-friendly you don't expect to take for granted things like hot running water. The hotel wasn't at all busy so it wasn't a matter of the plumbing system being taxed with maximum occupancy. We also stayed in another Choice Hotels location this same weekend and it was an even worse experience. The only redeeming quality about this place was that the lady running the breakfast area in the morning was staying on top of things. Apart from that, we're pretty much through with Choice Hotels at this point. May just have to start traveling in an RV and avoid hotel stays altogether!
