For the money, it's a good deal. Staff is friendly and helpful, and lobby area is fun and inviting. Free coffee provided in the lobby, and we received two vouchers for free drinks at the bar, which was a nice surprise. The rooms are quite small -- no closet, coffee maker, or mini fridge. Pretty much a bed, small chair, and small desk. Pegs on the wall to hang your belongings. A low cost hotel that wants to be hip and cool and modestly succeeds.

Lovely decor and vibe, overpriced for what you really get. The room was tiny, no place to store your suitcase let alone put your clothes. But the big frustration was that the bar staff was completely rude. My wife and I sat at the bar in the late afternoon with maybe 4 other people total already having been served. The two bartenders not only just blatantly ignored us but continued on with their conversations with obvious regulars and after 5 minutes of not even an acknowledgment that we were there and even serving a person who sat down after us, we left. Will never go back to the Moxy.

Moxy Minneapolis Uptown is located about a 30-minute drive from the airport, MSP. Situated in the up and coming part of Minneapolis and next door to restaurants and gastropubs, all within a block or two. The hotel looks like Moxy does, and the ground floor is all about social activities and work, with the bar as a centrepiece. In the basement is the gym, small but with treadmills, crosstrainer, and a bike as well as dumbbells and a punching bag. The rooms are nice and well-planned, if you want something special, try the junior suites, they are fabulous! The main drawback is that there is no food, which is okay for lunch and dinner, but an inconvenience for breakfast as there is nothing close early in the morning. Otherwise, it's an excellent choice

I kind of hate to give only three stars, but can't really justify four. Last time I stayed here I had a room I liked very much. Not so much this time. It was small (most are) and on the Lake street side, so noisy. Disappointed to find that their only real breakfast option was cold cereal. There's places to eat within a couple blocks, but it's pretty darn cold to get out and about. Bottom line, the Moxy is fine for what it is, just don't get your expectations up. Great neighborhood though.

We had a great night out in Minneapolis followed by a great hotel to sleep in. We also enjoyed the bar on the main floor. Very happy with our stay at the Moxy in uptown Minneapolis. Room was very clean and up to our expectations!!!
