Sheraton Duluth Hotel

Kerima, the employee who checked me in, was fabulous. She greeted me as I walked up, helped me with the new parking procedure and welcomed me with her smile and kindness. The changes to parking are confusing. I had people asking ME in the ramp how things worked. I’m sure Kerima gets questions all day long. She was extremely patient. Very appreciated. A great way to start my trip!

I stay in hotels half the month, every month for work; a third of them being Marriott products. The beds in this hotel have to be some of the worst that I have experienced. I swapped rooms as well to no avail. I’m a huge Marriott fan but this location has severely let me down. Good chance you will not get a good sleep here. Too bad. Usually appreciate the Marriott product.

Beware if you ask for an “accessible” room. Ours in the club level was far from accessible even though the front desk swore it was. No grab bars in the shower or near the toilet. The only grab bar in the entire bathroom was in the inaccessible tub, and none anywhere else in the suite. The bed was too high.

The location was great for us. (There were a few people walking around downtown on a weekend but they didn’t bother us). Close enough to walk to some downtown restaurants, and an easy walk via the Lakeway path to Canal Park. If you like water, ask for a lake-facing view. We loved watching boats, small and large. And we could see a ship enter the port and the aerial bridge rising after dark. Staff was very friendly and helpful. And, we didn’t have to ask for daily housekeeping!!! First time since 2019 for us.

When we walked in we were welcomed and upgraded to a better room with more space and I felt welcomed the only downside is the parking tickets which you only pay 7 dollars for all the times you leave the hotel. It is a very nice place there is this guy who’s name is katon he is very humble at the front desk and very fun to talk too 10/10 experience
