Hotel Indigo Kansas City Downtown an IHG Hotel

My brother, nephew, a friend of mine and I stayed in H. Indigo from March 21st-24th. We were in town for the ComiCon going on. Overall Hotel Experience was very positive. Positives: --The Night desk employees were very kind and joined in conversations with us about the ComiCon and cosplays. --The Hotel Restaurant/Bar 'DotBoss' was really nice, we made it a priority to try many of the breakfast options and at least ate there once for dinner. --The Server Emily was quite helpful with sharing her opinions on certain dishes / sides like the Breakfast Potatoes which were amazing! They were probably my favorite part of the meals. --During breakfast there was kind gentleman of Asian? descent. He didn't know much English, but we could make out what he was saying most of the time. He was always in a cheerful mood and was a great way to start the day. --The Water. We drank more of the restaurant water than we expected we would because it actually tasted great. We almost preferred it than the other breakfast drink options. --The Server Celestino was extremely polite and patient. On Saturday for dinner, I was looking to get a Sour alcoholic beverage and after talking a bit and saying how much sour I specifically wanted he went and mixed up a recipe he recently got from another resident. It tasted really good, but I felt it needed a small adjustment. My brother mentioned Sour Apple and Celestino remembered they have Green Apple Pucker. Which led me to come down on Sunday before heading out to dinner elsewhere just to try another drink. This time he mixed about equal parts Sour G-Apple Pucker, Tito's Vodka, a Splash of Midori melon liqueur, and quite a bit of lime juice. It was also really good! -but I am addicted to a sour taste. With the information from both sets of drinks I think I will be making this drink myself soon. Celestino himself 5/5. Thank You! Negative(s): --The room service seemed inconsistent, but I wasn't the one who spoke with the employees, that was my brother. I know night one we accidentally left the DoNotDisturb sign on which led to them not tidying up. After that they still didn't seem to stop by? -Again not sure on the exact routines for that being this is only the 2nd larger hotel I have stayed at. --I understand since it's a restaurant and not just a "complimentary breakfast" they couldn't do free breakfast for every person in the room, but it was a bit unexpected to only have 3 Tickets(total) for 2 of the 4 people each day. We worked it out, but honestly as stated previously the food was delicious so I can't really complain.

We absolutely loved our stay! The staff was incredible, perfect location and a very unique boutique style hotel! The attention to details was amazing. Their hotel bar/ restaurant was absolutely fantastic as well! We had the pleasure of eating dinner and breakfast and loved it.

Pre paid 1 night with Expedia Proved that to front desk but they stubbornly said they would charge me for all 4 nights Told them to charge me for 3 nights and “work it out” with Expedia…….that would be reasonable customer service Refused. Told me to deal with it Ridiculous and terrible terrible service Won’t be back or recommend to others

Awesome place. Beautiful stay every year. The customer service is amazing-especially Andrew at the front desk. Thank you! Great vibe. Can’t wait to come back. When I traveled alone I felt very comfortable. Love the location in the heart of it all.

Fantastic hotel! Super nice people, rooms are clean and modern. The gym is well taken care of care of and clean. Downtown noise is minimal. Additionally, the bed is super comfortable and the bathroom is just the right amount of space. You won’t be disappointed.
