Quality Inn Hayti North

I hate to write a bad review but I wish I had known this before I checked in. This hotel is old and very tired. Patchwork paint and patchy fixes along the floor and wall. We had a big brown water spot on our ceiling. It just felt dirty. The hallways hadn’t been vacuumed for awhile. The furniture was old and scuffed. The one bright spot was that the bed linens were clean.

We checked in, got an amazing room went to see family since we are here for a death in the family. Came back to the room after that and dinner and my fiancé and I killed three roaches in the bathroom, black mold on the trim of the tub/shower surround, ceiling was literally peeling off the drywall . Wish I had taken photos of it last night but I was concerned with getting our stuff out of there. My fiancé talked to the lady at the desk she transferred us from our king size bed to a full size bed. First disappointment. We get into the room after leaving our belongings in the truck cause I don’t want to bring that stuff home with us, smells horrible, they have bug traps all over the place, been woken up four times to the neighbors door just squeaking all night, hole in the bathroom wall, it was not cleaned properly due to my fiancé finding a Smurf toy in the room and also you can tell from the photos attached.

Hotel is a never return. Beds ok except steel bars sticking out of bed. Tried to push back, it is the bed frame. Microwave , fridge and mirrors never cleaned finger prints. And last to top off. Found mouse feces on sheets. Excused it. Later while watching TV heard noise. Oh hang.on, there is mice in the room. Caught it in the bin, took to the office . They gave me new sheets to put on myself if i wanted and told me "oh well, we have a field near by" !!! UNACCEPTABLE ! Not a good sleep. I could off slept in my trailer instead. And bath tub is complete mold around seams .

Location: Easy to find Room: HOT. We got there at 9:30 and no AC on. It took over 6 hrs to cool off Bed: soft Pillows: thick Bathroom: plenty of thick towels, no toilet paper roller Hallway: HOT and smelled of cat pee Breakfast: eggs, sausage, waffles, assorted breads, 4 types of juices, cereal, apples BUT no warmer for eggs and sausage Staff: Super nice

Just no. So dirty. My husband had been up for 19 hours and no other vacancies. Otherwise we would not have stayed. Toilet did not work. Heat ran all night and never got above 67. The one positive was the lady at the front desk was very friendly. This is why I gave it 2 stars and not 1.
