Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Oxford an IHG Hotel

This hotel has seen better days. The parking lot was cramped and my car received a gouge from the car door next to me, despite both of us being centered in our spots. The lobby was okay. The front desk staff were not unfriendly. The elevator had something sticky on the floor and as I stepped out with my luggage, I walked straight into a puddle of soda or something that had clearly been sitting a while. The room itself was nicely appointed with a microwave and minifridge. But the microwave's turntable came off after 15-20 seconds of use which made it hard to use. The bedding was dingy and the furniture just seemed tired. The mattress itself was decent and I slept okay on it. I left as soon as I could get my stuff together, did not try breakfast. The mess in the hallway had a yellow sign next to it when I left so I guess they were in the process of cleaning it up. I'll look for something better on my next trip to Oxford.

I have stayed at this hotel multiple times over the years and highly recommend. The rooms are always clean and I love having extra room to spread out compared to regular size hotel rooms. The staff is very friendly and always welcoming. Location is great… Only a mile from Ole Miss campus and the Square. If you are a Hilton Honors member you can use remote checkin which is a huge plus.

The desk clerk upon check in did an excellent job of showing concern for assuring easy check in: Name - ChiKira. Also the hotel was in good location with easy access to stores and the university and more. Note: the next service person at the check in desk was friendly as well upon ChiKira leaving.

We checked in late. Brittany and Yoana made us feel like we just made it home. We could not ask for a better experience. Weight room was great. Breakfast was really good. Great waffle station. Perfect stay. Thank you Brittany.

I’m an IHG rewards customer and try to stay at one of their hotels whenever I travel. This is my second time staying here with the same experience and I won’t stay again. The rooms are nice and the bed comfortable. The housekeeping staff is always pleasant but the front desk staff is just a neutral…not unfriendly but definitely not friendly. Seems to be a place for lots of construction folks, which is not a problem in itself, but many are playing loud music outside and rambunctious in rooms so the noise is a lot. They have a cheaper price point than most hotels in the area but I’ll pay the extra to stay elsewhere in the future.
