Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites BYRAM an IHG Hotel

Driving through area and stopped for a last minute overnight stay. Spacious room. Bed comfortable and pillows okay. Shower with good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Working refrigerator. Quiet night sleep on 3rd floor. Near many fast food restaurants and gas stations.

In a last minute decision i decided to stop at this hotel. It was very clean, well kept, and the air conditioner was very cold and working. This was definitely nicer than 3 of the last 4 places i have stayed at, including places from Chicago, Houston, and Huntington Beach, CA. If you are in the Jackson area i would definitely recommend this place.

We needed a hotel and found this one right off I-55 south below Jackson. The desk staff person was friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and well appointed. The rooms are spacious and well lit. There is a microwave and fridge. The area is quiet especially considering it is a stone’s throw from the interstate and parking lot is well lit. The breakfast bar was a full breakfast with pancakes if you wanted. This was a great place to stay and we will be coming back. So if you need a stopover south of Jackson, MS, this is your hotel !

This hotel we stopped at to break up a long drive. Arrived later in the evening. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Breakfast in the morning was good. Upon waking in the morning and opening the shade we discovered what appeared to be a bullet hile in the window which had been covered by perhaps plexiglass. This wasn’t a new hike as the plexiglass appeared to have mild/mildew around the perimeter . Not sure , but to my way of thinking - either this window should have been repaired long ago- and/or shouldn’t be rented out to people until it is fixed. Kind of unsettling to find this. The window looks out to an empty field and beyond that a lot full of prefabricated homes. Typically don’t leave poor reviews but while this was a good value and otherwise clean - I perhaps may have been wary of staying here . I doubt that this was the only empty room available and it doesn’t seem as they would haven given me a room like this. I didn’t mention it to the front desk, but did submit a review about this when a followup “how was your stay” email was sent to me. No one from IHG reached out with any kind of explanation .

On a recent trip to New Orleans, we decided to stop at this hotel, which was about halfway. Breaking up the trip was much more enjoyable. The hotel is located right off the exit ramp with lots of restaurants all around. We chose one of the local, Mexican restaurants, which was delicious, the hotel was very clean and up-to-date. Staff was very friendly and as always the holiday Inn hot breakfast was great.
