Fairfield Inn & Suites Mankato

It is a rare occurrence when one stays at a hotel that not only meets beyond expectations, but does it with a high degree of panache. The last few months have been an endless parade of hotels and most, if not all, were subpar at best. Until I arrived at Fairfield Inn & Suites Marriot, from the first day of my stay, which lasted approximately 2 weeks the staff was helpful, patient, kind, and most of all exuded a type of sincere warmth that one can only get from people of sustenance. Throughout my stay, the staff remained consistent with all above-mentioned behaviors, and as a result made my longer stay even more enjoyable. There are several Hotel Personnel that merit mention; Adam the General Manager, Nate the front desk Supervisor, Evan a desk staff, Justin the night auditor, Ashley the front desk staff, Anna the Assistant General Manager, Rhianna the front desk lead, and Brady the front desk staff. All of these staff members went out of their way to help me with whatever I needed at the time, and more importantly, did not show an ounce of frustration. And believe me I can be a pest. Their continental breakfast was very tasty with a scrambled egg mixture, waffles, and many different types of bread and fruit, even enough to satisfy even the most scrutinous of guests. Additionally, their rooms are elegant, clean, with maid services checking in every day. Overall it is with no reservations that I strongly recommend that if you are in Mankato, MN for pleasure or business the Fairfield Inn & Suites is the most conducive to meeting all of their guests needs. Due to my impressive stay at this hotel I have since conferred with my employment and convinced them to reach out to Marriot and contract with them for all of our company’s personnel that travel and stay in various cities throughout the country.

Watch out for room 307, there is a fan in the bathroom ceiling that is extremely loud and can be heard 24 Hrs a day. Your only reprise from the noise is to close the bathroom door which removes most of the noise but not all. I was able to sleep but more sound sensitive might have an issue. I mentioned it at check out and was told that there is nothing the hotel can do about the noise. I strongly suggested that they not book that room, but since they know about it and booked me in it’s obvious that it will be booked. Stay away from this room and all should be good. Staff is friendly and property and room are very clean. I would recommend this hotel anytime just not this room.

Checked in early only to find our room smelled like urine and had dirty sheets/pillowcases on both beds. The front desk graciously got a new room and said they would comp our stay. The next day, my card was charged. I contacted the front desk about the charge and was told since we stayed in the clean room, they cannot comp the room. Morale of the story, if we would have stayed in the dirty room, it would have been free or if we would have left they would not have charged us. Lucky for them we will not be back!

This hotel is nice. I enjoyed my room and thought everything was great. There is a pool which was nice but unfortunately there was no hot tub. The hotel is near the center of town and is close to several restaurants and shopping centers. I recommend staying here.

Not a pet friendly hotel, even if you have a an ID for support dog they only recognize Service animals but other than that the staff is very friendly and helpful. Sean was very nice and professional and Anna was also. We were going to be staying a week or longer but was asked after 2 night stay at 9:30am by Adam to be out by Noon. We had no complaints at all with 2.5lb Yorkie “Zoey” it’s just not a pet friendly hotel. I have stayed in about 30 alone this year and never had this problem but I left and had room inspection myself by management before I checked out said room was one of the most cleanest rooms they have ever inspected.
