Best Western Premier The Lodge on Lake Detroit

Older resort~ if you reserve rooms make sure you're not in the basement as rooms and old carpet smell just like your basement. The heating system is old as well ~ if you need a fan to sleep bring one. If you are traveling in the winter request is that they turn on the heat for your room before arrival. We are MN native and the room was pretty cold even to us ( 60).

Wonderfull view of the lake. Nice and confortable room. Very clean and quiet. Well illuminated bathroom.Good breakfast, not too much waste elements, glases, metal cuttlery, ceramic plates and bowls Very nice recepcionist. I recommend driving around the lake.

This Best Western was the best I have ever stayed at. The beds were so cozy and comfortable. The breakfast was not the usual fare and was like one you would make at home. Nice yogurt "bar" with yogurt you could scoop out and put in what you want. There were fresh fruits like pineapple slices, grapes and cantaloupe. You get to look out at the lake when you eat. All the rooms face the lake and I would suggest 2nd or 3rd floor rooms if you want the privacy of no one walking by your patio door. Only things I would change is to offer king size beds and put clocks in the room. Haily was one of the best employees I have encountered.

This hotel is a pure gem. The setting was gorgeous. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and had a beautiful view of the lake. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. We didn't utilize the restaurant/bar or the spa but I'm certain they were fantastic as well.

Fantastic place! One of the largest and best accessible rooms that I have ever stayed. Extremely clean . Excellent staff. Breakfast could be a little bit better, but overall good food. Beautiful lake views with either balcony or patio for all rooms. I would definitely recommend a stay here.
