Hotel Description
Guests stay in condo-style rooms with free Wi-Fi and fully equipped kitchenettes at the non-smoking Lodge at Giants Ridge where there's an an indoor pool private beach and two restaurants. The mid-rise non-smoking Lodge at Giants Ridge features rustic charm in all of its 67 apartmentlike suites. Floor plans range from one to four bedrooms and all units offer fully equipped kitchenettes or full kitchens free Wi-Fi cable TV and hairdryers. The on-site pub offers casual bites and cocktails and the on-site restaurant offers full meals for the whole family. Active types are happy to know the hotel boasts ski-in/ski-out access a private beach on Wynne Lake tennis courts a gym and volleyball courts. After a day of adventure guests unwind with treatments in the spa or lounge by the indoor pool and hot tub. Practical amenities include a guest laundry free parking and a 24-hour front desk. Pet-friendly rooms are available for a fee. More than an hour north of Duluth the Lodge at Giants Ridge is five miles from the small town of Biwabik. Guests walk out the door to the golf course in the warmer months or head to the adjacent ski slopes in the winter. The hotel is across the street from the Mesabi Trail and Lake Wynne offers a beach and water sports. Biwabik has a few shops and restaurants and you'll find more options 20 minutes away at the Thunderbird Mall. The closest major airport is Duluth International Airport a 63-mile drive.
