I’m shocked to see that this hotel has a 4 star rating on this site. It was dirty and run down, and the entire place stunk of marijuana thinly veiled by cheap air freshener. The only saving grace is that some of the staff were friendly and helpful.

The customer service in this hotel is atrocious the star reviews as in 4 stars. is definitely fake the hotel the walls the carpets are all falling apart. The room that I had booked and was confirmed was given to someone else, even though I came very late from a very late flight, some of the rooms smell like smoke. I should know I woke up and down, trying to get a room at 2 AM in the morning. They gave me a room. I did not ask for or wanted. That’s the only room they had left after they’ve given my room up. The front desk person is extremely rude in different and obnoxious. He did not value my lifetime diamond membership. Can you imagine that? It is very noisy when the housekeeping crew keeps slamming the doors while they are locked from the inside to go in and out of the rooms so that’s how you wake up. In the rooms also it smells like thick dust , which would make you sick.. I have more to write, but I think you got the point.

This hotel should be avoided at all cost. Find another hotel in the area. The customer service is poor. They add $100.00 a day incidentals to your room supposedly on weekends. I checked to see if any other Hiltons have that, and found none. I stayed at Hilton 2 months ago in Charlotte, NC during the NCA weekend and never had that experience.

This place is a dump! We chose this hotel due to location and pool/“hot tub”. Yikes! The hot tub was the same temperature as the pool and maintenance said they couldn’t do anything about it. We also waited 90 minutes to check in with a crowd of other disappointed guests after our check-in time on a Saturday afternoon. Outlets didn’t work and the WiFi didn’t work (probably why it’s free). I would highly encourage anyone with kids or needing to work to avoid this hotel (also under heavy construction) at all costs!

Check-in was ok. There was urine in one of the elevators. The swimming pool wasn't immaculate, the handle used to go into the pool wobbled, old towels from the previous night were not removed, and the pool opened late. The attendants at the front desk were good. I asked one of the attendants at the front desk if I could leave my wheelchair assistance ticket from the flight on the dashboard of our rental. Is that okay because I didn't bring my Handicap Placard with me? I wouldn't get a ticket since I am a disabled veteran, and he told me that the meter maid should honor that. Well, it didn't work because when I came down to eat breakfast that morning, there was a ticket on the rental car's windshield. Since we stay at Hilton Hotels around the world, we shouldn't have to pay for breakfast, which should be included in the room. This needs to happen to all Hilton Members. The room's price should include a continental breakfast for the family like the other Hilton Hotels we've stayed at (Savanah, GA). I have lived in the area for 21 years and was proud of Detroit-Southfield when growing up, but now it saddens me to see the cleanliness standards need to improve immensely.
