First off, I booked this hotel based on money and ratings. Summer weekend hotel rooms are ridiculous in any tourist area in michigan. Yes, September is still considered summer in Michigan. It's nice to find a reasonably priced, clean, hotel room for a weekend getaway. This room did not disappoint in those areas. I don't expect a modern room or luxurious pillows or bedding. This room was well appointed with a refrigerator, freezer, microwave, and even a fairly new kuerig. The shower water pressure was nice and never ran out of hot water. One cautionary note, the toilet is LOW, so if youre super tall or have trouble getting up from a seated position, maybe don't get room 106 and mention your difficulty at the time of registration. My husband had difficulty with the mattress on the second night but he has trouble with all except our tempurpedic at home. In summary, if you want a great deal on a room, and don't care that it isn't in pristine modern condition, you won't be disappointed.

Clean and convenient. Microwave, refrigerator and coffee provided. Better than expected for a roadside motel. Cleaned room without requesting every day. Good place to stay when visiting picture rocks lakeshore park. Hope to come back soon.

This is an opinion: While we love staying in mom and pop places, in our opinion this was not worth the cost. Hotels/motels donât have to be fancy, just clean and (hopefully) comfortable. Sadly, we were disappointed with this stay. The room definitely needed some TLC but the real problem was the cleanliness. There was mold on the ceiling of the bathroom, The toilet had a band across it stating the toilet was Sanitized but the dried urine on the seat , while âsanitized,â shouldnât have been there. There were several dark stains on the carpet in the room that looked like old pet-stains. For the money the room cost, you would expect better upkeep and certainly better housekeeping. We would not stay here again.

We paid $175 per night including tax and fees. We stayed 2 nights. It definitely was not worth it. If you want a good night sleep, this isnât the place. The mattress was probably circa 1980. Bouncy and if your partner rolls over, will feel everything. The bedsheets were rough and scratchy. The bathroom door didnât shut properly. You probably wonât want to take off your shoes either. There are nearby hotels that are similarly priced, check them out first. I didnât speak to my partner for a day for booking this place.

We stayed here for one night while visiting Pictured Rocks. This is a true motel, with single-story buildings spread out along the parking lot and a door into each room from that lot. This made it pretty convenient for loading and unloading luggage in our car. The staff here were very friendly, and we appreciated their helpfulness. The room itself was fine. The bed was okay, a little hard, and the Wifi in our building was broken when we stayed (we had to walk over to another building to tap into that Wifi). No breakfast is available onsite (although I believe they did have coffee), so we had to find breakfast elsewhere. Overall for the price, this was a fine value for somewhere near Pictured Rocks.
